Please explain how to grow moringa diy harvest tool pods/drumstick on large tree miracle super green food oleifera

awesome hi I'm Gary and this is my moringa pods pika my harvesting tool that I made and this is how I made it I like simple tools and this is the simplest tool I could come up with harvest Moringa it's basically an inch and a half piece of PVC pipe this piece here is about eight foot long it comes in ten foot lengths that's a vile will pretty much anywhere to make the cutting part I use two utility knife blades one panhead bolt one spreading washer and one wingnut the drill bit on the bottom was used to make the hole for the bolt the total weight of the picker is around four and a half pounds that makes it light enough for anyone to use I measured roughly half an inch in then I drilled a hole straight through now the drill bit that I used is a quarter inch drill bit the bolt that I'm using is about a half inch long by 5/16 in diameter so because the bolt is a little bit larger than the drill I used it presses in nice and firm and it won't drop out the last thing I really want to do is have to look for screws or bolts in wood chips it's a waste of time so this has got a nice snug fit so I push it through now if it doesn't go through they can use the screwdriver and this will cut a thread if I made a small hole I could use the bolt to cut a thread through the PVC and then that would hold in position you could do the option of gluing it in I suppose but anyhow they try to keep things simple the blades slide over the bolt I've got the split washer that drops over the top there then I've got the wingnut that I use to tighten that I have these wide set just above the top of the PVC pipe and that's it if you had access to bamboo or you didn't have access to PVC pipe you could take a piece of bamboo if you had timber bamboo which might be this diameter and you had had that way of removing the little nodule parts here you would create a hollow pipe you could create a hollow pipe just like this and use bamboo if that's what you've got I have PVC pipe so I can use PVC pipe now we're out in the garden and Gary is going to demonstrate this fabulous tool that he has come up with so let's see why don't you try picking one of those and we'll show how it works first there he is he's what he's doing is he's sliding the pod in the center and there it goes and now let me see if I can walk around to get a better shot hold off for one second so everybody can see exactly don't do anything so now he's got the pod in the center and it's up against the two razor blades okay go for it now this is effective as long as you've got a straight putt if it's a little curling then it might get caught in the top but that's fine too you're not going to damage tree with it oh that's another one yes so that one got caught on up there but that's still okay harvest without damaging your trace now that's not as important here in the US but in some countries where they eat the pods more more than they do here that's probably important because if you're a farmer or you're growing it for your family and this is a food source you don't want to damage the tree most of the trees here I've grown for their leaves but if you want to harvest the pods and you don't want to damage the trees you can make it tool like this up um you can and you can harvest with brown or green any of the pods at any size brown or grain demonstrating on this tree it's not as large as the other one and you can technically have harvest days from the ground basically in just sliding the pod over like that till you get to the top and hold your hand on the bottom down here to catch it and you just gently lift and twist a little just twist it a little and it comes off now you capture the pot in your hand and you can just drop it in a bag for a bucket and by doing that it keeps it off the ground and keeps it very sanitary so you can collect a whole bunch of them and they don't have to touch the ground you could use this tool to harvest same mesquite or Ironwood if you live in the desert if you wanted to you can make this portable you could get some couplings you could attach the blades to a coupling and if you cut this in pieces you could join up with couplings and you could put it in a backpack or even the trunk of your car and then you could take it out to wherever you need it there's probably a lot of ideas people that they could harvest fruit and things like mulberries that maybe they can't reach and they want to bring down safely to the ground without having to climb ladders but like this to remain an open source I don't want anyone to try to patent it if anyone did a novelty search they would say that there's a prior use this is established it'll be on YouTube on our channel Robbie and Gary I hope you like this video I hope it helps someone somewhere doesn't matter where where you are on the planet hoping that I did this video very descriptively so if you muted it you'll still be are able to understand what I'm saying and how to put this together our channel again is Robbie and Gary we've got a lot of videos up there we've got a lot of ideas that we haven't put up yet and thanks for watching and don't forget to wait you grow
