hi I'm Joanie Hilton your YouTube mom one of you wrote in about how to keep black clothing from fading in the wash have we all been there you put on a pair of black jeans let's say your black slacks and you maybe want to wear a black jacket or a black top a black shirt with that and it's a different shade of black there's like 20 shades of black right it's because everything fades well they start out different shades of black sometimes too but our black clothing tends to fade when we wash it multiple times so here are some quick and easy ways you can prevent it the first one is turn your black clothes inside out the thing to keep in mind when you're washing black clothes is wear and tear okay that's what you got to think of what's going to cause the least wear and tear if you turn your clothing inside out then at least the side that shows isn't going to get quite as much scrubbing action and breaking down on the fibers but it will still get clean another thing is don't use scalding hot water wash black clothes in cold water reduce your cycle time a little bit don't wash it for 40 minutes you know cut that down to just what you need to get it clean and then don't always put it right in the dryer see if you can hang your black clothing and then the last thing which is kind of fun to remember because I think it's fun because I always like when vinegar and soda foam up didn't you always make little volcanoes as a kid using vinegar and soda put a cup of vinegar and a half a cup of soda in your wash with your black clothing both of those and soda salt put in 1/2 a cup of salt all three of those tend to set colors and keep them from bleeding and fading out into the water so now you know some ways to keep your black clothes solid dark rich black I'm Jody Hilton your YouTube mom hey visit my website jo-ann I Hilton calm by my books and check out my blog and here's another assignment of your friends subscribe we will see you next time bye bye
