Hi, guys. John here with RealTruck.com. I'm going to show you how to install the Husky
custom molded mud flaps onto this 2014 Chevy Silverado. You see here as we have both front and rear
set, so we are going to be putting both to those on to show you how that's done. Some of the great things about these mud flaps
are that they are custom molded. They provide some enhanced styling and help
prevent damage to your vehicle and the vehicles around you, which is very important, to keep
mud, snow, and ice off of your running boards. If you have running boards or nerf bars, they
are engineered to perfectly contour fenders and body panels, providing a custom fit for
every vehicle that the Husky makes these mud flaps for. They are manufactured from a durable impact-resistant
thermal plastic to ensure the mud guard will last for the life of your vehicle. That's important guys because you don't want
to put these things on and two, three years later you have to put on a new set. These will last the life of your truck. They also come with Husky shield paint protection
film, which is included with all of these, so that way, any place that the mud flap touches
the paint of your truck, it will keep them from rubbing and rubbing that paint off your
truck, which is also important. Also, everything you need, including the instructions
for an easy installation, is included in these kits. One of the great things about these are, as
you can see right here on the box, no drilling required. So that means, guys, this thing should go
on pretty easy. Let's get these out of the box, take a good
look at them, and get them on this truck. Okay, guys, we've got these out of the box. We can take a good look at them. You can see the type of material they're made
out of, nice durable tough stuff, will hold up to the rocks and stuff that's going to
get on this. They are also made out of stuff that's not
going to stain, and it's going to keep the muck and yuck off your truck and off your
passerbys vehicles, as well. Also you can see here that it comes with your
product warranty, your instruction guide, and also the paint protector, the Husky shield
paint protector, as well. Let's get these things on the truck. One of the really cool things about this,
other than the obvious look at it, see if it fits kind of thing, is that these are also
marked front and L-H for left hand, so you know where they go on the truck, which is
kind of a neat thing. You don't have to run around trying to figure
out which side they go on. However, what we want to do is we want to
test fit this before we install it, just to make sure that it does, in fact, lineup with
our body, molding, and also our screw holes match up. You set it up on here, take a look at it. Everything lines up and matches up really
nicely. So what we are going to do at this point is
from about here down, we are going to clean this. What we are going to do is we are going to
use some clay and some compound, specifically designed for attaching the Husky shield and
that kind of stuff on here to clean this up and get it ready for us to put our paint protector
on. Once we have this all cleaned up, then we
will take our paint protector, and we will start down here at the body molding. And we just want to bring it up and apply
it right along the edge of the fender. Take our screws out from down here. What we are going to do is take our flap,
and we are going to put it up here in place where it goes. Let's start these screws back in. Okay. Nice, neat fit, nice and solid on there. That flap isn't going anywhere for a lot of
years to come. You can see there, guys, how quick, easy,
and simple it is to install these mud flaps from Husky onto your truck. We've got our front mud flaps on, so now it's
time to move on to the back of the truck and install our rear ones. If you notice something a little bit different
about the rear ones, you see this red strip here. That's just a backing that covers some double-sided
tape, and because these are no drill installation, we use the factory hardware that's already
on the truck. And if you notice on this truck, the rear
only has two screws that are down here at the bottom. What we are going to do is we are going to
take those two screws out, and we got to make sure we've got everything up here good and
clean. And once we clean it, we are just going to
test fit our mud flap, make sure everything lines up good, and it does. It looks really great. So what we are going to do is we are going
to use an alcohol prep pad, or you could even use some type of curtain rag with some rubbing
alcohol, something like that, if you don't have an alcohol prep pad. We want to clean this section up real good
and through here. Keep in mind the screws are going to hold
this on really nicely. The tape is just to kind of help keep it up
here, so that it stays flush on the truck, keeps it looking nice for years to come. Start our screws back in. There you have it, that's how quick, simple,
and easy it is to attach this rear one. Hardest part is getting the one screw back
in, as you can see there, so if that's the toughest thing that you have to do, then it's
really pretty simple. We are going to go over...and you can see
here the stick tape is holding really well on here, as well. So we are going to go over and do the one
on the other side. Then when we get that one on, we will show
you what this truck looks like with the front rears all on it. Okay, guys, there you have it. That's how quick, simple, and easy it is to
install these Husky custom molded mud flaps onto your truck. So we will get you a good shot of what these
things look like all the way around this truck. They look really nice. So until next time, remember, happy motoring.
