what is up guys I am gonna just jump right into this video I'm not on camera right now because my big helper is at school so I have my camera on my tripod here sitting on the counter so I'm just gonna just go ahead and proceed with making my video um this way so um today I'm going to be showing you guys how I make a Kentucky butter crunch cake my way guys when I tell you you try this cake with the crumpled my guy what you guys see that icing the topping that I put on this cake afterwards but like I said I'm just going to go ahead and jump right into it so I'm going to kind of move in a little bit in just so you guys can see the bow right there in here already I have one cup of sugar and one cup of brown sugar and I will put this recipe down below for you guys to go get it as well and to this I'm going to add two sticks of butter that I brought to room temperature okay I get my butter in here and I'm just going to kind of cream the butter in the sugars both together okay so that's two sticks of butter and I've had it sitting out I pretty much took it out when I got up at 5:00 this morning and I've had it sitting on the counter since so it's nice and soft okay so I'm going to start with two eggs because we're going to need a total of four again scoops oh my god I almost dropped this it we're going to need a total of four eggs okay so I got those two in there and then we're going to get my vanilla extract okay had to go over there and get my vanilla extract so I had to go get my vanilla extract so I'm going to go ahead and just get this cleaned up so I go ahead and get my other two eggs in one at a time so that's a total of four a to this the recipe clogged for buttermilk okay but I'm going in with sour cream if you want to use buttermilk you can use butter milk but I'm going to turn it down and I'm going there with two nice sized spoons of sour cream and that's about views my little regular spoon here it's like a regular plastic spoon I want to say this is about a nice Pepsi sized tablespoon so I only use two of these to go in okay then I get the side straight down so now I'm going in with my vanilla and I'm going to go in with a tablespoon and a half of my homemade vanilla extract and this is pure vanilla extract okay gonna get that mixed up and I'm going to turn this down low as I go ahead and get my dry ingredients together I turn it back on low and I'm going to go ahead and start spooning in my dry ingredients one cup at a time I'm gonna just turn it off I'm gonna do it this way I don't know what I'm thinking about so I'm just going to turn it off and do it this way that's one cup of dry ingredients and I have flour baking soda baking powder and salt and again I'll put this full recipe down at the bottom for you guys all the exact measurements of what I'm using is everything okay got that mix up going in with that one that mix that okay going in check I'm just going to go ahead and put the last of the ingredients in here just put the bowl up there and just put it all in it okay just like that turn that in love let it do it it and you're a mixture here and your mixture here is going to be a bit on the thick side okay so don't fret guys just wait till you see how this cake turned out I'm going to scrape down my side let that get mixed up I have my oven preheating to 350 okay and that about does it so see that that's how thick we want it just like that so I'm going to go ahead and get my pan prep which I should've did already but you know what it's all good go ahead and just clean off my attachment here then I'm going to get my pan ready I just wanted to talk to you guys about a little series that I'm adding to my channel every Monday okay and this is part of the series right now I'm going to do everything like I said once my daughter get in here but I'm starting a series every Monday called taking it Mondays okay where every Monday I am going to share with you guys a different cake recipe I will also be taking requests of cakes that you know you guys would like to see me make or whatever and what I'm going to be doing with these cakes some of the cakes I am going to be making for home okay and some of the cakes I am going to be donating to a program that my complex here have every Mondays with the kids in the complex and um it's just basically like a two-hour after school program from 3 to 5 where they kind of do a bunch of different stuff with the kids they have bingo they're going to be doing arts and crafts um face painting they're going to be doing all kind of stuff ok so I just went on ahead and told the office that I would like to kind of contribute to the program for the kids and you know as far as with me just making different cakes and different cupcakes for them I think that's my daughter at the door hold on one minute girl yeah good - good I kind of warmed up a little dinner um so yeah that was my daughter so yeah I just told them that I would like to go ahead and just donate these cakes or donate a cake or cupcakes or whatever I decide to make for them that day to them you know for them to hamp during the program okay so um it's got I know they're going to like it and I'm just looking at their faces when I got offered um that's another thing when I told them that I wanted to go ahead and start doing this for the kids they offered me a position to come up there and told like a little mini class and teach the kids how to make sugar cookies how to make their own little cakes so that way you know they can just start you know doing their own at home or whatever and I was so honored I was just like really like wow y'all should have saw my face I'm so serious but I was just like that is amazing I was like I would love to host this class and on top of that by me offering to help or offering to go ahead and just teach the class or whatever they told me that they're going to all everything that I need is going to be donated through their um their affiliated with h-e-b okay they have some kind of account or whatever to where heb just kind of donate I guess whatever to um certain programs that's held by this complex and they told me whatever I'm going to need for the class it's going to be donated to me through h-e-b so I was just like oh em gee you see how thick this is guys this is exactly how thick our cake is going to be so um and then on top of that they said that they're going to go ahead also once they see how I start doing the cakes and the cookies or whatever I decide to make for that day they told me that I can use their AI in that way h-e-b how could I put it h-e-b is a huge supporter of entrepreneurs okay anybody that's trying to start a business a food business or whatever and long as you're um you have your EIN number you have labels you have stuff you know what the ingredients on their label with the ingredients on there h-e-b will try out your product and if they like it they will put your product in their store okay I don't have an EIN number yet what I run from my house here is call is through the cottage food law the state of Texas where I am legally licensed to sell homemade cakes and you know cookies candies jams jellies spices whatever from my home here and um again I am certified to do that through Texas but I do not have my EIN number they're gonna help me get my aian number well not really help me because I had my ein and Wisconsin and all I pretty much did was call the state and I got my iin number and it was free so but they're pretty much just gonna give me the right direction on where I need to go to get my EIN number here I should have set it that way and but until then they're going to go ahead and let me use their IIM that way whenever I decide to make I can go ahead and will keep my fingers crossed and if h-e-b likes it um they'll put my stuff in their stores so that way when I get my own labels and all of that and stuff then I can go through you know I'm saying doing it myself so I hope I explained that to you guys in a good way or whatever but he said he need to talk to his supervisor and you know did it wanna um just you know put the nail in the coffin just yet put the last nail in the coffin just yet I'll put it like that but he told me he didn't see nothing going wrong with everything was a go because they're actually looking for some type of program like this to do with the kids okay so I hope Iran trembled enough in just telling you guys about what's going on I'm just like really excited about that and I'm just like if I get my products into h-e-b oh my god and on on top of that he said that he can they have a graphic designer to where they can help me with my logo with my labels for my jars um you know for my spice bags and all of that stuff you know they can help me with all of that so I'm not really really really excited I went on ahead I got my pan here so I'm gonna take my bowl off I hope you guys like my new mixer here my other mixer for some reason I'll call myself trying to make bread and as the bowl was spinning it flew like right off of the UM angle say flew but it popped right off of that little plate here and I'm damn near broke my finger trying to catch the ball because it was still spinning when it came off and I was like super pissed so when I contacted the company so when I contacted the company and told them about what happened and thank God for my warranty they just wanna they just went on ahead and replacing my whole mixer for me and they even let me switch the color so I have a new color so I'm just gonna go ahead and get this spray really good so we're going to go ahead and get our batter in here and again we are working with a really really thick batter as you can see it is very very thick so what I'm going to do now I'm going to go ahead and just go through my batter here with a knife and this is just going to kind of mug make sure all that bubbles or all of those bubbles I can't even talk right all of those bubbles are stuff far out of my cake here so now to act like that go ahead and just give it a good tap and that's just going to help get all of the air pockets out of the cake so now we're going to go ahead we're going to get this into the oven and it's going to bake anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour or whatever but again I'll give you guys the exact time of how long it had to bake once I'm done baking it what I'm doing now I am browning my coconut and my um walnuts we're toasting them rather and this is pretty much going to go in my icing that's going to go over my cake so you guys can see here my cake turned out beautiful it is nice and golden brown and just kind of set that back there turn the stove off so what I'm going to do now I got my arm I'm going to move my cake over here and just turn it upside down for to my a little cake holders and turn that down I think it's still kind of trying to make sure it's warm enough okay look at them gorgeous that is beautiful I mean I could leave this just like this I'm just saying but what I'm going to do I'm going to turn it back over and I'm going to have my cake on this side instead of having it on the other side as you can see they are both golden brown so I'm going to go ahead and just let my cake cool I'm going to sit this to the side and we're going to start one cut butter into my mixer here and I said let my butter come to room temperature okay so I'm going to go ahead get my attachment on and just kind of get that off cranes up a little bit before I get everything else in here now I'm going to go in with two cups this is exactly two cups of powdered sugar in my bag here okay I'm going to add a little bit more milk because I want my icing here to be a bit on the thin side I don't want it too too thick and I don't want it too thin okay so with one other head and put in a pinch of salt and that's just going to help offset that sweetness okay okay I'm going to clean down my fat put that cleaned off him up there okay I'm going to add a little bit more milk because that still is a little thick for me so adding like sugar about a tablespoon more of note or tablespoon and a half okay I'm going to see this is how I want it hmm I think I'm going to do a little bit more just a little bit more milk just a little maybe like a teaspoon Boop and I think that should be good so at this point we're going to go ahead and get our roasted coconut and our roasted walnuts in there okay at this point I'm going to go ahead and get my black walnut extract in here and I'm putting about a teaspoon of black walnut extract okay and I think that up so now I'm going in with my roasted coconut and my roasted walnuts I'm just getting that right on up in here a cup of coffee - yes look at that all that yummyness and I think that about does it look at that again I'll put the school recipe where you guys down in the description box but look at that good okay so now I'm just going to go ahead and let my icing sit right here and once my cake is completely cool I'm going to pour it over my cake and you guys are just going to be like oh it's going to be so good so let's just cool it I'll bring you guys back what I'm doing now I'm poking holes in my cake and this is going to help that icing get right down up in there and I'm not going all the way through okay you don't want to put the holes in there to the point the way you touch the bottom just put enough in there just put a hole in there to where you know that Ison is just going to the cake is just going to stop it up and going to moisten it up and do all of that so we're just going to put holes in here not going all the way through to the bottom okay just like that so I'm going to take my icing and just kind of start smoothing it right over my cake here tell me you guys get you a cup of coffee with this crunch cake and o-m-g suck it here it is now I'm going to go ahead and just cut you guys a piece number put it off so get you guys see that inside that crime look at that that crime is beautiful and that is pretty much it looking narrow all on the inside here yes beautiful it's cake like I said for us after Sunday dinner you invite friends over and you give them a piece of this cake they're gonna love you long time I promise you they are gonna love you so that's pretty much it I hope you guys enjoyed my video if you
