I'm joined today by our master diagnostic tech job ah x and we've got some good news about an available accessory on the 2016 toyota tacoma tell us a little bit about it John alright today we'll be installing a tonneau cover two trifold system on the 2016 tacoma from what i know it's the only kind of cover available through SCT and it's a pretty great pilot we appreciate it and stay tuned and we'll show you how easy this goes on so as you first unpacked the tonneau cover it is important that you have someone help you set this on the bed as you can see the the safety straps are already attached to the tonneau cover and so you can go ahead and unfold it as John and Willie are doing here so that you can get everything positioned just right to line up the inserts to mount the bed John has the inserts slid and estimated where they should be in the factory deck rail system and what he's doing now is attaching the rear bolt which is secured with a nut and tightening with a ratchet to go ahead and get the rear of the tonneau cover in place and now he has the both bolts in the rear secure and he's just checking one more time to line up the rear inserts and make sure that they're positioned where they need to be so that he can add the the bolts and the handle to align up there on the front so he's doing a few checking and just making some adjustments on where those inserts should be located now what John is doing now is making sure that the front of the tonneau cover is lined up correctly not too close to the cab of course when you're driving this truck and that bed may be moving a little bit but also to make sure that it's positioned on the bed correctly to prevent moisture from coming in when it's raining John's almost finished here he's making sure that there's enough clearance for the tailgate to shut but also make sure that the gasket there is tight enough with the adjustments that can be made on those rear bolts that keeps moisture out but also has enough clearance for the bed to be open and shut now he's checking the LED lights to make sure that they are operational and again given one more look over to make sure that the handle is positioned correctly turning those lights off now and one final close of the tailgate to make sure that everything's sealed as it should and there you have it a tonneau cover installed on the 2016 Toyota Tacoma
