hey everyone so I'm gonna show you this really cool technique that I figured out to add sparkle to any of your crochet projects this is a bag that I made and as you can see it has sparkle all woven through it the yarn that I used didn't come like that it was just a plain worsted weight yarn and I added the sparkle and you can really use this technique with any kind of yarn I've used bulky or even fuzzy yarn with it before but I'm gonna show you what you need in order to do this it's really simple and you only need one special thing so this is what you're gonna need in order to do it it's a type of metallic thread made by a brand called sulky you can get this at pretty much any place that sells embroidery threads I got this stuff at Joanne's and I think it was like 3 or 4 dollars it comes with 250 yards so that's about enough to go with like an entire skein of worsted weight yarn and it comes in probably like a dozen different colors maybe more than that so these are my two favorite colors to use this one sort of like a silver sparkly and then this one's kind of like a clear iridescent but this is the one that I was just showing you that I used with the grey yarn and then this one is just it kind of goes with anything because it's like clear so all you do to use this to add sparkle to your project is when you're crocheting you're gonna hold a strand of this along with a strand of your yarn and just crochet like you normally would it's exactly the same as if you were crocheting with two pieces of yarn held together so it's really easy and you can use it with any pattern any stitch pretty much any yarn
