hey guys i'm laura and on today's episode of critter crafts we are going to be making pet sweaters the materials we'll need for this are a sweater scissors measuring tape hem tape and an iron the first thing we'll need to do is get three measurements from our dog you'll want to measure the chest diameter from the neck to the base of the tail and in between your dog's front legs place your sweater on a flat surface and cut out one sleeve of it by following the curve of the shoulder seam now we're going to copy the measurements you took from your dog onto that sleeve use measurement a to determine which section of the sleeve you'll use use measurement b to determine the length and cut the sleeve on a curve to make this easier you can draw the curve onto the sleeve before cutting it now we'll make the holes for our doggy's legs to go through we'll use measurement c to mark where the leg holes should go [Applause] once marked draw a small circle around it cut out the hole on the top layer first and then cut the bottom layer now it's time to hem what we cut turn the sleeve inside out place your hem tape on the edge then fold over making sure the hem tape is completely covered take your iron and iron over the edge to seal the ends repeat this process until all fray edges are hemmed [Applause] once you're finished turn the sweater right side out and you're all done now it's time to dress up some dogs [Applause] don't miss an episode of critter crafts click the facebook follow button now and we'll see you next time you
