hey Anthony this is mega fie and I have a confession to make I have a lot of fishing poles and I'd like to hang these on the wall so I made the wooden hangers that will allow me to hang the fishing rods nice and neat on the wall and I'm going to show you how I made them to make the hangers I use a three foot long piece of oak that was one and a half inches wide and a second three-foot long piece of poke that was two and a half inches wide both for a quarter-inch thick and we're purchased from a big box home-improvement store I cut each board into three 9 inch long sections you can make these as long as you need but 9 inches is the longest I will fit between my door and the crown molding I've drilled three one and a quarter inch holes in each of the three wide board I made a template that you can download for free link down below then I cut 5/8 inch slot that connect each hole to the outside edge of the board I use my bandsaw because I like using it but these slots could usually be cut with a handsaw or a jigsaw I put a quarter inch straight bit in my homemade router table and routed groove lengthwise down the center of the narrow piece of the VOC this step is completely optional I've made hangers without cutting the grooves and they look just fine I sent it all six pieces of wood with 120 and then 220 grit sandpaper then I glued the wide pieces to the narrow pieces and clamp them and let them dry I got some spray lacquer and applied three coats to the hangers now use these velcro hangers to attach the fishing rod hangers to the wall I'll put a link down below to the exact product I use I use two velcro hangers per Rod hanger then I hung the hangers on the wall I'm really happy with the way these hangers turned out I think they look good they function well and they're really simple to make you could easily make them larger or smaller to fit your needs I hope you liked this video if you did give it a thumbs up you can also subscribe to keep up to date with my newest videos I'd like to thank my top patreon supporter Michael Thomas and I'd like to thank you for watching hey I'm Vinny and this is make a Phi and I have a that it's the wrong tone of voice hey I'm Vinny this is make a Phi I made some little hangers nope not good not good not good not good not good not do this thing I really like the way you could also scale them up and down make a bigger make them smaller sit you I really like the way the hangers turned woo I'd also like to thank my top patreon supporter I'm getting good is hot oh my gosh okay all right whew that was good
