good morning everybody today I'm going to do a minnow trap tutorial yesterday I do one with the GoPro but I wouldn't that specific couple friends you know and into me ended up maybe I should be a little more direct and specific about things that way people can learn from it so today I'm going to show you how to set them in a trap alright there's two ways to do it you can take a 2-liter bottle if you like that much money or kitty you want to do like a fun project take a 2-liter bottle cut around with rapper is you take this pop it down there and just like that damn put your bread and a backside dog food whatever it may be use like a little staple gun or stapler staple around the edges to keep it secure sink it and you'll still catch mares not as many as a minnow trap but it's still pretty cool it's still pretty fun for your kids all right now minnow trap looks like this okay they've run around ten dollars and you know Walmart Meyers Bass Pro Cabela's places like that they open up right here to the clip okay and there's two little clamps on the backside just make sure it is join clip it together it's got a one inch hole on this side and a 1 inch sole hold on this side I take bread or hot dogs or dog food and I put it down in the holes like this now I like hot dogs because they sink and the fish art is apt to eat from the top like when bread floats but you can also take bread and you can put it in my pantyhose or mesh clip over rocks and air tie it and put it in there and it'll stay at the bottom now one thing I did learn about making a video yesterday with GoPro was that they were coming in through the back side of the cage okay which didn't allow me to view them coming in from the front the water was kind of cloudy so I learnt quite a bit from it I learned it to fish number one they can smell and knew pretty good through muddy flowing water I mean a current was pretty fast they were in traffic in a minute and a half number two they're coming back to the back side of the camera and I wasn't dealing to the front so what I did was I clogged the hole now I got a GoPro you can see right there it's in the back I got it strapped in at the bottom with zip ties basically just wrap it at the base and aim it towards the hole now it's pretty much ready to go we're gonna put some bread in it and a little bit of dog food and I'm gonna take it I'm gonna sink it down in a deep pocket in the creek or a seal we can catch alright thanks guys thanks for subscribing support catch you the water check it out guys that fat boy these are Creek chub minnows they're common in Ohio and northeastern states and up in Canada depending on where you are it might differ for you these guys a pretty aggressive little minnows they get up to ten inches the male get like a rosy color and get spikes on her head as they start to mature there's various different types of minnows this is you know the beginning of November so it really starts to slow down the summertime you can catch little B pickerel gar spotted bass various types of darters but yeah it's cool to see what you got in your creeks and those right there great bait fish you can use a bass catfish pretty much any predatory fish so you guys found this video helpful please hit the like button and subscribe and appreciate it thanks for tuning in guys enjoy your day
