Please explain how to cook chicken pilau | chicken pilau with sweet potatoes | sheena's kitchen

hello munchkins welcome back in our kitchen with me Sheena so today we're going to be making chicken pilau with sweet potatoes so instead of using the Muppets eaters I'm going to be using some delicious sweet potatoes this is just my take but our ordinary Kenyan so he need below with the chicken that I missed many little bits of our me in plain are mostly like us what it was to adjourn minimal use the potatoes some definitely taking it a notch higher my acc potatoes so you could definitely at home use just a regular cuts into it so for this place's I'm using the whole kilo masala pre cooking the chicken at this stage and then to the water I'd like to add some cumin seeds as well as some ginger and garlic paste and then at this stage I like adding a pinch of salt to the water and then just mix everything in together so as my chicken stock is going on I'm going start off with my onions because for the pillow and make sure you have really well browned onions like they have to be really Brown search you can get a nice flavor from the below so in a sufrir I'll go ahead and add some oil because you need your onions to Brown if you add stool to oil the spices and the onions are going to burn so be generous with the oil go ahead and add your onions and just so till your onions and fry them until they start to brown so for the cinnamon sticks I'm going to go ahead and use stick had a moon black pepper cloves everything goes in as well as the chiles so by adding the spaces at this stage this is going to ensure that this place is very nice and fragrant and they are going to the top and they're going to release their aromatic flavors as my onions are browning I'm going to go ahead and move my chicken from the chicken stock because now it's partially cooked as you have a look you'll see that the chicken is now white so I'm just going to remove it and place it onto our plates once the onions and spices starts to brown when they look like this go ahead and add ginger-garlic paste so you want to add your ginger garlic paste at this stage because ginger and garlic Browns very quickly so go ahead and mix everything in so if you have a local onions and nicely Browns and our garlic has also started to brown and it's fragrant so go ahead and address it potatoes at this stage something's missing potatoes with the Funyuns go ahead and cover with a needle and let them just cook for about five minutes before we add our chicken so it's been about five minutes and it's time to turn our sweet potatoes if you have a book you'll notice that the Secretary's some salt so give everything one more star after checking the seasoning and then simmer the heat so it can cook on very low heat and cover with a lid and cook for 20 minutes so Maryse has been cooking for about 20 minutes and if you have a look you see the water has evaporated and mayonnaise my rice is nice and fluffy and this is what you are looking for so the water should have evaporated and the potatoes should be soft if you have a look at this you can see it just cuts the row so the sweet potato is fully cooked and if you pierce your knife all the way in your knife or fork all the way through you'll notice that it doesn't come out with any moisture so it's not wet so it means your rice is fully coat so our chicken Allah wish is ready and there's no better way to serve this than with Cathy O'Berry so I went ahead and made some so we just need to give this a nice taste and we have a look at McLeod it's so nice and brown it's just so lovely oh my god chick can't allow you guys
