Please explain how to paint patent leather "tutorial

what's going on guys that's just the X here coming at you guys with another lit fire tutorial again this time this time I'm going to be showing you how to paint patent leather patent leather is most commonly used material used on the Air Jordan 11 the shiny part that goes around on the on the shoe for example I have this shoe already taped up while somewhat taped up but this part here the shiny part is the patent leathers I'll be teaching you guys how to paint patent leather today and the method that I'll be using to paint the patent leather on this shoe is the same method that you can use on the Air Jordan 11 alright let's get into it okay guys so before you get started always make sure when you're taping your shoe make sure everything is taped down and that nothing that you don't want the paint on is taped down because the type of paint that we'll be using will stick and will stay on so as you can see I taped all my areas down down to the tee I mean it might take you guys less it might take you guys longer you know but I make sure that when I'm doing a client shoe I make sure that everything is stayed down everything alright guys so these will be the three products that you're gonna need for this project when Payton pan patent-leather you can't use regular paint because it won't stick on the way you'd want it to and you can't really use the Angela stick laser and prepare because it's plastic and it's not going to get down to the layer that it needs to be so to do that we're first going to use sand free you and I'll put the link in the description to where to get these it's on king of sneakers calm then you're gonna need the melatonin color black then you're gonna need crystal clear for the clear finish at the end alright so first we're gonna use the sand free you get one make sure you shake it up really good first and then spray away at least like one or three to four sprays away so you get all the solution out after that then you start all right guys once you've finished hitting it with the San free I just finished hitting my shoe with about five coats light coats of the San free but the San free does is pretty much prepares your plastic or the patent leather to get ready for whatever color or paint that you're going to put on it so once you hit your shoe with about five light coats of the San free next you're gonna hit it with the black Mellon tonin spray now keep in mind when you do this this is where it comes in when I told you about making sure your shoe is completely masked off and having no paint on it or having all the areas that you want covered secured now we're going to hit it with about nine to ten light coats of black so this is the first coat now remember you don't have to worry about oh I didn't get this far I didn't cover everything do not worry about that at all because you're gonna hit this shoe with about ten coats so all your layers have to be very light and you don't want to spray and/or concentrate on what area because then you're gonna get like these ripples and then you're gonna see like drips and it's gonna make the shoe look terrible so light coats from afar and up just spray spray spray spray spray and all light coats and you're gonna hit this about 10 coats alright guys so I just finished up already hitting up the shoe with about nine coats of the black so this is how your shoe should look like and I forgot to mention it's very important that you do not touch the shoe anywhere because you'll leave fingerprints and it's and it won't come off and you got to redo the whole spring process hit it with the crystal clear and you're gonna give this about two coats so it really just sets in but to get into it you when you hit it with the crystal clear coating make sure that you hit it with two coats and you hit it with a light coat all the way around because anything else you hit it with it will stick to it so let's see guys the final product after I took off the tape and hitting it with two coats of the of the clear spray now I know what you're gonna say oh they're all there's little spots that you miss there or that's not clean work listen for this type of stuff once you already take off the tape don't worry about that you go over it with you're gonna go over it with regular black and a very small detailed brush and I'll show you the results after I'm done all right guys so this is the final product if you like my tutorial please smash that like button for me it does go a long way and we'll go ahead and catch you on the next one peace
