good morning this is David apple with self-storage we're safety is our number one goal this morning we're gonna be talking about how to use the Guardian so on Alexis in which we provide for our customers during their stay which we found is the best security locking mechanism in the industry what you start with is a hex key like this and there's gonna be a little notch on it and when you look at the cylinder lock in the hole here you're gonna find a notch at 3 o'clock on the center and the outer ring you're gonna push in hard and as you're holding in turning the key from 3 o'clock down to 6 and you pull everything out and the cylinder key come up they stay together like this you have a top silver throw as it's called and it's actually the locking mechanism that goes in through the door you want to move it all the way to the left open the door there's typically going to be spring tension so you want to push on the foot handle down on the ground stepping on it to release tension sliding the latch over and then with good posture come over the handle here in the center then your knees bend your back plant your feet well lift the door up I've got the storage unit open to close the unit reverse the process bend your knees closing the door come over the foot handle again and step on yet to slide this throw all the way across you'll know you've got all the way engaged to the door when you see the opening where the cylinder lock is gonna go and be fully exposed now there's an important piece with the cylinder lock going into the hole if you look at the opening it's got an arched top also has a flat bottom your cylinder has got a threaded arch top and a smooth flat bottom grabbing the key at 6 o'clock with a flat bottom down come over and put it flat bottom down pushing hard and turn the key up to 3 o'clock and pull it out that's how folks you use the garden stand lock system to open and close your unit we realize that your storage you're based upon the life eventually working through and we appreciate the fact you've chosen us for your storage needs and place confidence in us to store your household possessions thank
