when Sarah from pink cricket and I wanted to show you a fun fun trick today to do with your embossing folders so if you don't remember I picked these up at CAJ event and when I saw them I paid about $7 for this set of four when I saw them I figured this is something that we could totally make with our Cricut so the idea of these is to use them with a cuttlebug folder or another embossing folder put the paper in here and then put this on top of the embossing folder and then you have to figure out the right sandwich for you to make it work for the bigshot it is actually to use the multi-purpose platform on tab to lay this down and then just like one acrylic top which is kind of funny because now they never usually works by the way and I'll find out the cuttlebug sandwich for you and hopefully post that down on my post I don't have a cup of like here with me so I can't tell you for sure what it is but then what you do is you open this and you have an embossed image except for the square in the middle so then you could use that square to stamp something or do something fun like that so I'm going to show you how to do this on your own is on my gypsy I took four rectangles and then inside those rectangles I put a fun little designs XS essentials is where I got the rectangles from and then on the inside this little fancy rectangle is actually from live simply so I cut this out for exact times and the size that I cut them out at is the rectangle is five and a half by four and the inside rectangle is 2.8 by two so after cutting those out here are the four pieces and what I'm going to do is I'm going to glue these together so they line up nice and even now you can use any shape in the middle that you want heart or a diamond or a frog even you could do that so you could also save time by just cutting chipboard or even the back of your paper stacks has a harder piece of cardboard you could also use that just make sure you're using your deep cut blade okay after I have those in we'll take that get the Big Shot back we'll get our embossing folder put some paper in it put this on top so we're gonna feed it through the big shot with this same sandwich that we use for the other one and when we take it apart that's what we get we get the blank spot in the middle which you can see the design a little bit and then the rest is embossed so you can even do this with a card so let's light this through it get a small card and put this on the top whatever shape that we've decided to make and then we're going to feed it through the big shot okay when we pull it out then our card will look like this with the blank spot in the middle so let's stamp something on here we're gonna stamp main squeeze on the inside of that little blank spot we left first stamping okay once we have that all inked up we'll put it in the middle and that's it just like that there's another way that you can use stamping with embossing that way is to take a piece of paper that you're going to stamp and stamped image first let's use the same sentiment and stamp main squeeze right here on a small square card and then we'll send it through with a big slot this is my new Tim Holtz embossing folder it's this look like good book paper and I haven't even used it yet there we go and there's our image embossed and stamp such as stamp before you emboss or try the other little trick that I just showed you thanks for watching everyone
