Please explain how to change a 3 prong dryer cord to 4 prong - super easy

all right so here's the closer look at the finished product hey guys welcome to another video so I'm in my new house today and as I was putting in my new dryer I noticed that there was an issue with the three-prong versus the four prong outlet so I figured I would do this video to show you guys maybe helpful to some of you guys so let me show you what I'm talking about here so the the watch the dryer I have here as you can see the head is a three prong head as you can see here but then my outlet as you can see the outlet has a four prong so there's no way for me to plug this thing in here because it's two completely different things so in this case I had to buy a car with the four prong here and with the wire on this side which we gonna make it work with the dryer so this is pretty much everything you need here the correct four prong here with the Philip head and you know two screwdriver here that is really all you need so we start by going behind the dryer here I have the Samsung dryer but anyway no matter what dryer you have behind the dryer there should be you should see the original wire here and right above it you should see this little metal plate here which hides the wire behind it so all you have to do is pretty much unscrew this one screw and open it alright guys before I start I do want to mention that don't do what I did and buy these wires and materials at home people order it online you have time because online is only like ten dollars and I had to pay like $30 for these wires so get everything online I'll leave the link in the description box below all right so first step let's go ahead and unscrew this one screw this piece out of the way now you see all this connections here which you remove all of this including this ground wire right here the white wire is for the ground we're going to move this and put it into the neutral which is in the center so first let's go ahead and take these three out also you're going to want to remove the court restraint right here which is holding the court in place so a little explanation here if you guys are interested in knowing the different parts here so the middle is the neutral and the right and left or the hot ramp hot ones and this white one right here is the ground wire so again what we're gonna do we're gonna take this white wire out and connect it to the middle neutral here and then the green wire gonna go here red and then black red and black doesn't matter right or left they're both hot so you can put it in either spot and then you can just remove this take this old wire out and then we are good to put in the new one all right so here's the closer look at the finished product so again I took the white ground line that was originally here put it into the center right here together with the white line that came with the new four prong by here black on the left right on red on the right and tighten the wire here and that is pretty much it now put the cover back and the dryer should be good to go so here's the product finish ending product everything is done the new prong is installed now I just need to go ahead and plug it in and just like that all done now the dryer is good to go now you may want to buy one of these duct here to the extension that goes into the dryer some dryer doesn't come with it and you may want to also get one of these tighten bring right here our leaf all the link to any of these in the description box below so if you could go and order these online because it's a lot cheaper it was like $10 on Amazon five star review and very good and all these ducts I mean everything together is still under 40 bucks don't do what I did I bought it at the home depot and this wire alone was almost $30 $26 so get it online on Amazon for like 10 bucks alright guys if you have any questions comment below if you want to see more things reveal like this how to like this in the future let me know and I'll do more about it thanks I see you guys the next one
