my folks took the punt leo leagues out now as you can see that going away in this polystyrene box since about the middle of February late February and they are floor non-answer this year because I've grown them in some cost of compost and it's looser than the trick so like I've been about ready now they're about a foot tall not quite pencil thick book not far off and I'm going to be planting three rows of these in this bed using me dipper to met the hole and then I'll be clunking some in and then I'll show you how I do that the first things to do is to just separate all these planting to single plants so not going to be cute without we're just going to quickly box the bits I've got loads of it we'll just remove the big one finance staff separate them out see they've got a muscle insisted on and now so yeah I said no need to be cute at all can be as roof as you like just a matter of separating these plants out now quite carefully having said that into single plants check all the soil off and then you have to plan something like that like I said about a foot tall maybe pencil thickness silk so what going to do with these a lot of the old gardeners used to say chop half the roots off and half the leaves off before you plant them but I've never done it that way I did it once that way and I got exactly the same results if you'd have a real one way and after all the way I did it which is just leaving them and planting the whole thing in and I got exactly the same results so for me it's just a matter of separating them all into single ones so we'll get that done and then I'll show you I will dig the holes so you can see I've just separated best sort of 68 the best biggest 60 clamps now what we were doing with a met the holes with a dipper we've given up using this term it's just an old spare done what's broken off and I'm going to set the depth of about seven inches because basically if that's the league and you plummeted it that D then that's the depth of the shaft little bit that will turn out to be white which will blunt which will be kept away from the sunshine and then go go white because if you just plant them on the flap and they grow above ground then the whole plant will be green but you like I said plant them in a hole six seven eight inches deep sometimes that's the depth of the shaft that will become white so I've set mine to seven inches which usually gives about an inch for the roof so then I've got about six inch shaft if you had any expression so I'm going to plop mine a lot closer and a lot of people because I'm a bit short for Spears I'm going to planting rolls a foot apart and then six inches apart between each league so the more space you give them the bigger the bigger the girl so I'm a lot of people grow them at least a foot apart and sometimes in rows 18 inches apart but I'm a bit limited for space so this year I'm going to be doing him a big floor so in the end up getting about the same yield even though get more in a row but the plants are a little bit smaller sorry we're definitely making lovers a foot between the room so every six inches run them on there so it's just a simple of picking your different look to tedious stuff just get your leg and plunk it in the hole looks a bit silly but the wrong way and fill the holes up and I'll just show you in a bit I'll just do these and I'll show you how the water than me and there's a couple of in column tips really about what you should and shouldn't do after you've planted them and the main one is do not fill the hole in the soil as you know yourself just put some water in black enough so wash over the roots what door fill with soil in a hole in the soil because if you do because it's buried you'll end up with soil down into the between the leaves a bit of the leek and then once it grows it will stay within it and you end up with a gritty leek and it with sand and soil and stuff inside your leek you know that the skin of your league so like I said just like slightly with the rain slowly fill the hole in a bit girls and then that will be right but like I said don't whatever you do fill the hole in sometimes you did collapse is not a lot you can do about it but obviously you know justify doing that and it will clunk all the rest of these and they'll just show your water I mean finally and then that'll be it all right the thoughts are last thing is they're just sort of problem in water them in and what I find the best thing is a watering can with a piece of or Skype stuck in the end then you can guide the water down the hole because if you use one with a spray arm you'll end up washing all the soil down the hole like I said filling the hole with with soil so this way if I assure you it get it filled up you can just end it down the hole fill the hole with the top to the top with water like that and actually wash it off soil just off the edges of the hole just to fill the the hole a tiny bit and cover the roots up with soil which will get them go ahead and get and root it so again it's just like a just got to do it Lord's a time score once you've done it that's about it with eat with Lisa really all you need to do you should look after the cells that's about it folks I think pumping out the league's this year the way I do it people don't slightly differently but that's the general rule of thumb giving a hole in clunking them in and then filling the hole to water and then it should be okay that's about it box to the letter
