hi I'm Wren I own wrens kitchen and at wrens kitchen what we do is teach people how to cook authentic Indian cooking today I'm going to give you a taste of some of the dishes that we teach here I'm going to talk to you about how to ripen Tomatoes today sometimes we have Tomatoes than aren't as ripe as we need them the best thing to do is make sure first of all you make sure that they're definitely not in the fridge and what my top tip would be is to leave them if preferably in the Sun if you can somewhere warm in your kitchen otherwise where they can actually have the Sun touching them if you can't if you haven't got a place or it's winter then literally you'll have to leave them out for a couple of days until they ripen naturally but I would say that really you shouldn't be putting them in the fridge in the first place because they go cold so you should actually have them at room temperature whenever you're using them anyway so when the trick is actually is to buy ripe tomatoes in the first place if you can the supermarket if you're purchasing tomatoes that are still on the vine then try not to take them off the vine because they'll carry on developing when you're at home and actually another tip is is don't put them in the fridge we're very keen to put tomatoes straight in the fridge as soon as we buy them but actually if you leave them as part of your fruit bowl they'll actually ripen with the other fruit so and of course the smaller ones will ripen quicker than the large ones so really the best place to put them is somewhere warm and somewhere that they can have a little touch of Sun possibly so that they go nice and soft for when you're cooking them you
