hi this is Ann from strut bridal salon we specialize in sizes twelve and up today we're going to talk about how to lace a corset back wedding dress tip number one ladies is whoever does your gown needs to have super clean hands because as you'll see I'll manhandle these strings a little bit and it's the first place your dress can start to look a little grubby alright step number one you're going to take one end of your lace and put it through the top loop take the other end of your lace and put it through the top loop on the other side look down to make sure your strings are relatively even but they don't have to be perfect next and this is the most important step you always want to start lacing with the same hand that'll give your corset back the most even look I always start with my right hand that means that the laces that come from that side will always go under and the laces from the left will always go on top that helps it photograph better as you're lacing your dress you want to make sure you keep your laces pretty flat now you see we've gotten to the bottom of the corset back so we start at the top and this is where you start to tighten it you gently pull each side starting at the top and working your way down the one thing you want to be careful of is that the laces don't fold or roll or buckle you want to make sure they're nice and flat again that'll make it photograph better sometimes I'll even do this a couple of times when you get to the bottom you can simply tie your strings in a bow like this and let them hang down the back of the gown for a cleaner look you can tuck it all in the knot the bow and the strings just like that and that's how you lace a corset back wedding dress for more information please click on my bio and thanks for watching you
