Please explain how to dehydrate cilantro and parsley

hey everyone this is the groovin chick i just want to take a quick minute to show you how to dehydrate your cilantro and your parsley i go ahead and do mine on the stems i just cut them off of the plants growing outside with a pair of old scissors bring them in and wash them really good then i like to draw them on paper towels and then i can pick out the pieces that i don't want to dehydrate that are yellow or have bad leaves or just for whatever reason i don't want to hydrate and just lay the whole stem on my dehydrator trays you set your food dehydrator on its lowest possible setting and the exact time that it will take to dehydrate will depend on the moisture content the air and the moisture in your herbs itself you don't want to over dry them you just want to dry them until they're dry and crispy you know crunchy like and then you can just pull the um leaves off of the stems now to make sure that you don't get any stems into your final product before you put it in a container you can always sift it through a mesh strainer so that makes them really simple but i found that it's a whole lot easier to dry them on the stems than trying to pluck each and every leaf off it saves a lot of time in the end and setting it on the lowest temperature setting on your food dehydrator will sure ensure a better product because it doesn't cook your cilantro or your parsley it dries it out and when you if you have a food dehydrator that doesn't have a temperature setting be sure to rotate your trays and check them regularly because uh the old food dehydrator i had didn't have a temperature setting and it was more likely to cook the food or cook the herbs and things before it would dry them so but be sure to check that and um not going to give you an exact time because that will uh be determined by like i said the moisture content in your herbs in your in the air just want to give you a quick show of the green onions that i've done some of the deal that i did the other day that you saw me do and some chives so um be sure to draw all your remaining herbs and things you have out in your garden in your yard and you'll be uh sure to enjoy them all winter long until the next time this is a groove and check out if you like my videos please click like and share and subscribe
