hi I'm Carter Gravett from carbon leaf and we're here at Callahan guitars today and we are going to show you how to install a cover ground wire to a traditional telling neck pickup so it can be used with 4-way switching so we have a traditional telling neck pickup with a cover if you want to install a 4-way switching arrangement you'll need to remove the ground strap that runs from the cover tab to the ground eyelet first I'll heat the eyelet and carefully lift the strap from the solder then I'll remove the strap from the eyelet now this will be hot so use caution then I'll get a length of wire about a foot and tin the wire and now with salt solder to the cover tab now this can be grounded to any one of your pots now the pickup black wire can be used with a 4-way switching arrangement to allow for series and parallel joining with the bridge pickup if you're ordering a set of pickups from Callahan they are more than happy to do this for you for no charge just request it when you're placing your order and there you have it
