Please explain how to malt barley

okay what I got going on here is two-row barley regular straight from the elevator straight from the farm and we're going to multiply this stuff up this stuff here is pretty clean real simple we're gonna run it under some nice water warm water all our loose sticks and outsides to our barley are all gonna rise right to the top so we'll just let this fill up I'll turn it to a low flow and all that stuff will come right up okay so this is day two without malting barley I can't get a good look with it here if you look really close you can see it's starting to sprout some roots getting white tips to it if you will we drain this after leaving to say six to eight hours now we're just going to repeat that process on my phone as you can see it's taken up a lot left a lot more room in the bucket here because it's starting to expand a little bit from absorbing water if you taste it at this stage it's still got a bit of a crunch to it that you can tell there's moisture in it not even gonna waste time to clean it right now because my water is nice and clear so when you start to soak it a second time that your water it does tend your hair that that's okay this is after the second soak and dried it I dried it sorry I drained it starting to get some focus on that really starting to get some little sprouts to it one or two stringers if we will soak twice we're gonna dump it into different container where we can let it sit out a little bit I got an old drawer here and I use that because it soaks something out where I've read and seen people do is use those ceramic pops or those clay pots those orange ones just something that's gonna soak up a little bit of water now we're gonna leave it set Oh three to five days is what I was told I've taken up to six - leave it set just got another low some little rose here and then I'll be stirring them every day and when I stir them I'll just stir them up and rerun I don't know how well you can see but down there is where I keep my grain my bedrooms in the basement it's nice and dark nice and cool I can keep it covered I know it's not gonna get down here and the dogs aren't gonna get into it so now our grains done we're gonna start drying at 100 degrees this stuff isn't very wet so we'll probably take about 16 to 20 hours then we knock the roof off we have nice sweet malted barley ready to be a roast right grain we're gonna use the oven underneath roughly 24 hours give or take and you know how wet eat grain still is the mama they're into the oven because my oven only goes down to 170 I turn it off for a couple hours leave the door closed open it up back down Oh hunter 17 just kind of keep the eye on the temp goodness here's pretty simple you
