Please explain how to distress jogger sweatpants

hey guys so in this video I'm going to be showing you how to de-stress jogger pants these are jogger pants from Nordstrom's and they are from Topshop I'll give a direct link to them on down below so make sure and check that out but I saw Suzanne Hendricks wearing a pair of Hudson distress jogging sweat pants and I thought hey why not do it myself so I'm going to be showing you how I do it so first off what I'm going to do is I'm gonna take a pencil and Mark out where I want it to be distressed basically I don't want a too high and I don't want it too low I'm gonna do it kind of right in the middle here and I'm going to do small holes and then bigger holes too so I'm just gonna take my pencil and Mark out where I want to put my holes okay so I'm gonna have to kind of make sure I get it good and dark otherwise I won't be able to tell because it's pencil it's all gray so I'm going to start making little marks on here where I want it to be I'm just going to kind of evenly dispersed them with an even amount of bigger and smaller maybe this height will kind of have like a big patch and then this side will just have small or just like slits because that's how her pants are in the photo so that's I'm going to do you so now that I have them kind of just evenly dispersed in the area that I want it to be and I'm not going to go strictly by what I drew on here because if I feel like as I'm cutting I might want a little bit more somewhere then I'll do that but this at least I have kind of an idea of what I want to do so then I'm just taking some of my mom's scissors here and gonna lift it up so I don't cut the back of it but I'm just gonna basically I'm going to cut out this square to start off oh I'm kind of scared so I'm just going to cut this out and yeah cross my fingers oh please you're good scissors okay so now that I have made my different cuts and cutouts I'm going to just take my hand and just actually take my nails and just kind of scratch at it make it look a little bit more afraid and you can use really anything to do this you could use your fingertips but my nails are like a little bit sharper than money fingertips that they're a little bit more abrasive and I'm just going to kind of play with it until it looks a little bit more distressed if you will I can kind of like look back and see how it's looking I might want to do a couple more slashes but that is the main idea so yeah I'll probably flare out it a little bit but I think that is pretty good so I'm adding a couple more slits just to make it a little bit more uniform and that is the extent of that but yeah that's pretty much it I hope you guys like this you
