today I'm going to share with you how to make the tissue paper rosettes I've had several people email me with questions about exactly what the twisting part is to make these so today I thought I would share with you a quick video just to show you so that you understand by seeing exactly what I'm talking about so what you do is you start out with your crepe paper and you just cut about 24 inches is what I did in England and then I take the streamer and I just pull it up that will give us an extra texture and then you smooth it out and then you take the streamer and you fold down just the top third edge of it just up there the way down all the way down the entire string right here and normally I would do this on the table but I'm just holding it up here so that you guys can see how I'm doing it just do that all the way down then go back to the front end and you just take your Rose and just start rolling it up as I'm rolling it up I'm pinching off also pinching the bottom throw that and once you have a good start on that and you can start twisting the paper this is the part that was confusing to some people so what I do is I just take the paper and I just twist it see how I twisted that and now it's got a little bit of texture there on the side so it's not um perfect it makes it a little more realistic looking and then I keep rolling and then I twist it again then I try and keep the top of the straight paper at about the same height each time okay you can have a very little bit that's what makes a little more realistic okay now I'm going to do another twist twist the paper see how I thought that all coming back up here I'm going to do another twist you just keep doing that all the way down your students now that's turning into a rose and sometimes you get it to where it pokes out here a little bit on the top and then I just loosely push that down a little bit get that bone the same level again I'm going to do one more twist get that back to where the third of the papers at the top okay that's it there's my tissue paper rosette I've got it all pinched down here at the bottom and then this is where I will fold it over put some hot glue on it big blob of hot glue right here put it on this side and I put it underneath and then I push it down onto my Styrofoam ball okay and then sometimes you'll end up smashing that a little bit and then you can just kind of let it out okay
