greetings and salutations today we're going to show you how to do some pointing and this is off a board pointing not normal pointing where you lay a brick and you're literally point if force this is off the board with a little edge on it which is a couple mil thick that when you put it over to your brick with just on the line at the top of your brick you're literally going to fill it in so taking it back before you actually start is you're going to get a grinder a little bit grained out probably about 25 millimetres not too deep in the ground or 25 millimetres Kelly ground out give it a good wash give it a good brush and dust down and then literally you're ready to do a mix and you do a meet you want to either do a free tool is a bit strong maybe at four to one we're going to say that you can either do for poor kids to one bucket of cement and you need to add the water with that but before you put the water in you need to put like a frost proofer and a hardener in and you can buy them for the shop and I can say that's all that's separate so make sure you cross proof or in the water cubical stir through all the part and pop you water into the mixer and overall you're for sound and then you want to men you want it nice and creamy so you can literally smooth it off we'll try to do a video and show your last few bits later on so getting back to pointing I do is this is sort of stopped again yesterday got it always there try and keep continuing on so you put that one under that lip there and literally use it this side of your your trowel where I try and grab some and push it in rub it push it okay go rare cross with it taking it off the top there and give it a nice smooth right come across it to the face the mixed off the face of the board one more time and as you're going to pull it away you want to lift the board up to put the edge and pull it down and then you've got a straight cut now there's two ways you can do your perps these are your perps you want to do your pants first you can either do a Porsche so you take it a little bit your mix off there taking it down literally pushing it in so maybe put a little bit of a bottom first to stop it drop it down take some more push it in sound a bit more push it in and then just flatten it off so when you point across it it doesn't get in the way there is a little way you can do it to give it an edge you could flatten your mix up there so you can edge off it drive it up please gonna drop it place without dropping it off and place your board rattle to the edge again and ritual a little insult and pull back dropping all you in that gives it a little edge on that way and that way rather than just giving it a full edge I'll do all your clips first and then go across and just keep continuing on your next slide which will be there and just keep going and building it off okay so I push it hard as you can in to get a little mix in and then up and down now when you're coming to the edge you want to chain it's pretty bit bit trickier because you don't want this ball to hit any of these new mitts if it's done off you want to be pushing it in and then going to that side pushing it and then just shake in your corner so you get a nice little corn or else in it and up from that I think is there we've got different I don't you like anyway I'll wait that's live information for you
