Please explain how to install jockey shifter & suicide clutch - tj brutal customs

shut over okay you're first going to remove your shift linkage this piece right here so I've already pulled this the bolt out here make it easy and quick pop that off and take this piece out you'll probably need to unscrew this from the actual shift lever right here set that aside you don't need it there's going to be a a corn nut right here on a bolt that's attached through the backside of this lever you're going to want to undo that to take the lever off of the foot peg mount pull it out you're going to have something like this set that aside next you're going to want to remove the three eight millimeter bolts right here one two and three I've already pulled them out previously to make this quick and simple pull those out in the kit you're going to get this and right now you're going to install it it's going to go right here take these bolts slide them in where's that adapter tighten them up to the torque specifications found in your service manual out grab these over messed up that do work yep you just start the whole damn thing alright okay when you install these two components make sure this piece is pulled away from the motor before you fully tighten everything down and that this can move freely next step is to connect your lever with the included ball joint take the bolt and nylock lock nut out of it just like that step through the side take your shift lever in your hand and screw this into the shift lever use the beer shift lever it's now going to be your clutch lever the nuts on here are to lock this down once you've adjusted the actual angle of the shift lever pretty simple take the ball joint slip it back behind the foot peg bracket lift this up a little bit you're going to attach this ball joint on the front of this plate stainless nut that was in the ball joint goes through it again pop that through there let the hang take the nylock nut go around the back side hold it up to this bolt and rotate the nut just to get it started see here lowboy helps to look behind it there we go day would be good there we go all right now to tighten that down you're going to use a 13 millimeter wrench so you can tighten these up there you go next step is to reattach your lever really simple you're going to bolt it right back through the same bolt that came out of bolt hole right there I can do that all the way just for demonstration purposes it's there you can see where it's supposed to be next step is to remove this motor mount bolt it may be put through from this side to the other side you're going to want to turn it around if that's so so the acorn nut is on the left side of your motor right here so remove that aircore nut and you're going to see that take the clutch cable adjuster bracket and slip it right there helps to put your hand around the bike and hold the backside of that bolt put the acorn nut back on it that's a 14 millimeter socket get your 14 millimeter socket right there on a ratchet and tighten that down again you're probably have to hold the other side to ensure that it's actually completely tight next thing you want to do is remove your clutch perch from your handlebars it has this little adjuster here you're going to want to take that off just unthreads like that set this aside or you can sell at the swap meet on Sunday if you want and you're going to thread this in to the adjustor bracket right there now you're going to take your clutch cable thread it underneath the backbone right here it's going to come down and you're going to have something like that sticking out you're going to line up these two slits and the adjuster slide your cable through rotate a little bits of the fall out take the ferrule and push it into the cable retention piece there we go I believe the cables actually just connected on the other side right now so this is basically what you've got the cables loose on the other side right now but it will sit up here like this when you push the lever it's going to pull your clutch cable down and thus you can use your foot to work your clutch so now you've installed your suicide stomper or shift kit right here that actuate syou're clutch cable now you're going to want to put in your jockey shifter that's this bad boy you're going to want to take the bolt out that's included which is a ten millimeter stainless steel bolt you're going to want to slide this onto the shifter splines straight up and down put the bolt back in it will fit into the groove super super easy to do this ten millimeter combination wrench tada and you're going to want to tighten that down pretty darn good I'm not left-handed so this is super super easy tighten that down now you're going to want to get some Allen wrenches these are guys you're going to want to take I believe it's a three millimeter see you my correct yes three millimeter allen key to tighten down this set screw this is a high-strength pointed set screw and it will seat itself in between the splines on your shift shifter shaft tighten that down real good you want to bite into the metal of this shaft you also want to make sure this is tightened down real good so it pinches the jockey shift component onto that shaft little extra love there you go and you're pretty much set now your jockey shifter can be reached easily you can shift wherever you want and the words Will Smith get shifted with it
