this is a design for origami that I made myself it is a manta ray now I'm using regular paper but the best paper to use is OD gummi paper that is black on one side and white on the other that way you get the white underbelly of a real manta ray so you're gonna take a perfect square paper you're gonna fold it triangular once make sure you crease your fold then you're gonna fold it triangular again this okay and we get back up and we fold it this way make a rectangle and back up and we do it again okay now with your fingers holding the horizontal fold you're gonna kind of hitch it's hard to see you're gonna kind of pinch it so that all the horizontal poles come in to each other like this see so regular and then like that okay and then we're going to flatten it like this okay now next thing we do on the side would be open bottom is we're going to fold this corner into the middle okay and crease it again and we're going to take this corner and fold it into the middle okay now then you're going to flip it over and take the top corner here and fold it back just so that it's even with this little edge right here okay okay so and then one more time just the other way okay now these two folds you meet earlier we're going to grab the bottom of it like this see okay and we're going to fold it so that the crease you just made up here is in the center okay and you're gonna kind of fold these in the other way opposite way that they were okay now we have the first part of the body base next we are going to fold this in here once and this here like this once okay and if you really want to you can fold it again I prefer to because manta rays have a very whip-like tail so as thin as you can get it without it looking silly okay now okay we have our our whipped like manta tail right there now gonna take at the bottom like this and we're going to fold just a little bit of the corner here in here like this now the reason for this is to make sure that these side things don't open up when you're done okay do that again okay now it is time to make the little flappy things that mantas have on the front of their mouth you're going to take these two front pieces here and fold them until they meet with the edge so like this see okay and we do the same with the other one okay now we have it like this we're going to take both these corners and fold them in till they meet in the middle like that okay and crease as much as you can without ruining the fold here okay now this part down here we're going to fold underneath the flaps we just made so that the edge it just slightly back behind the front there like that so we had the manta classic front shape okay now we turn it over puff these out a little bit and we have our mentor a it is a pretty manta ray and it wants to meet you and that is how to make an origami manta ray and if you want to you can also make these flaps flaps here a little further in because I noticed that mine were kind of coming apart of it this is not the best paper for origami its regular to uh copy paper but enjoy
