subs YouTube welcome back to album garden on this episode we're going to talk about this for you first in industry then I picked up in December from Home Depot before we get into this alright now that we've cleaned up a little bit and I've been putting this off so I can get it film so I gives us a perfect time this is a pot children to close my dragon fruit but it didn't survive the wizard and then pull everything out and then we're going to get the fall already we're going to add all of this stuff in there we're going to fullness we're sending out so we're going to plant it have it all all right so first things first we're going to get this pot ready so we're going to pull all the whole stuff out and do this at home make sure you got the Bikila hazard protection which are good enough for the bank roof I was back through the whole time and never flowered fruited it's time for it to become some mulch drop some of the soil in here the answer in here so we're going to get rid of this we don't want these ants in our pot let's just dump this over clean up those and hopefully there's no eggs in here so the soil I have in here pretty sure it's that avocado palm mix that drains really well because I had a cactus in and the sole I want to use this miracle drove potting mix moisture control and it protects against overing over and under watering which is perfect for your plants and I I've been using this for the past year works great so I'm going to continue to use it so I'm going to dump the soil off over here so what we're going to do is you're going to start filling up our soul you from our experience I have another persimmon that I bought from Craigslist I was father and daughter they commit bunch of seeds and they're selling you for ten bucks okay I'll pick them up so I have to dig it out of their ground and what I noticed is that every small tap this is the reason why I was in Enochs pops that I want to hopefully it works out and we're going to see how far we need to go so as you can see here here is the grass part so this is where the graft happens and what you want to do is make sure when you replant this recaulk this you want to keep the soil level to the same as it is here if you go above here you're going to end up killing the plant always be wary of that and then when I put it in here you can see that quality the right side and you want to load you want a couple inches here and put some mulch and then when you water it it won't overflow I think this is perfect and then also as you water it the full level go down another half inch or so so what we're going to start doing here is we start adding minerals so once once we put a plant in there the roots are already sucking all the minerals and this stuff what we really need is some worm casting so let's go get that's a good stuff right here on 10 bucks or five pounds they also had a 40-pound back to 40 bucks but a lot of warm captioning isn't a lot of money we just for now let's give expert all right let's pop open our bag here and start adding all the goodies to our soil so that as soon as this plant comes out of dormancy it's ready to go and give me a little bit of trouble there we go well will do is just take I don't want to use I mean the more you use the better if you can use only worm castings go for it but it is pretty expensive so I'm not going to do that but add a little bit there again some as a light rock dust minerals and creeping in there mix it up a little bit and then also we have our micro riser I have about a tablespoon in there what this does is create a web inside the soil and it will help bring nutrients to the roots so even if you don't have big roots that go throughout the whole pot what this will do is it will go throughout the whole pot and it will bring them into back to your place so we're just going to spread this around a little bit that's pretty much all we need for now we're going to do we get our food persimmon here and the reason I like this one is you can eat it hard or you can wait though it's often synonymous stringent variety meaning to get the string djinn righty you have to wait till it's really really popular like business explained great cooking here whenever building our sauce take five 'a busy like an apple slice it off alright so we're gonna move this down a little bit grab these two pop it right off and check out the roof here alright let's check out the roots as you can see it looked kind of root down here here's all the roots going all around and then once you put in this pot it's going to have a lot of room to grow stick it right in here then what we can do is just pull this out and what you want is you want to get it perfectly aligned take this off for now you need it later and put it back down and what I want to do is all in a kind of add a little bit of soil here probably bring it up just a little bit slow right under there and start filling it in check out these roots right here nice and thick and strong so we're going to make sure we add our nutrients on top here so these roots can pull in all the nutrients and you kind of want to lightly compress this in we want to do it too hard in here all right that should be good once we water it in alright now that we have the soil add it back in what we're going to do is we're going to add some more worm castings grab a little bit kind of float around the top get those top and remember we're going to make sure that our soil level doesn't go above where it was already planted it's okay to add mulch because a mulch allows air to go through and it won't there won't be any rotting we want to keep it at this level adding our own captain and then we're going to throw some more azomite in there and then some more of these guys let's mix it up lightly here we want to start really too much and then we can also do is can throw some compost in here but I won't have any right now get them and we're going to get some some good old all tracking a couple things about most because it helps retain moisture so when it gets really hot in the dollars whether going to help keep some moisture in there for the draw two months also it will protect these roots here these are feeder roots so you want to keep these at the top you want air water everything over here you want to want to completely put these under the soil so what we'll do is we'll put mulch on these and also as the mulch breaks down bond and provide becomes food for the trees and also at all also microbial life in with soil help those bugs the beneficial bugs thrive in here and just going to add maybe an inch inch and a half and I should be good for now alright I'll fix this up from Amazon it was like six or seven bucks and especially when you have a lot of potted plants you want it want to make sure the moisture level is correct not too dry not too wet I can determine life or dead four of these plants if you're over watering or under watering I haven't wired this yet we're going to stick this in here just to take it out before and after we water let's see what we get so as you can see it is dry right now and we're going to pull this back out clean it up a little bit next what we're going to do is we're going to water this and give us some fish emulsion fish fertilizer it will help give the plant a kickstart along with warm fast into my garage I've as my mulch on top all right so we got our good old Alaskan fish fertilizer be the five parts nitrogen in one part phosphorus and jumping on good for flowers good for veggies bits or fruit trees organic so I'm going to burn your roots or your knee so let's go ahead and mix this up and then if you want it you can get them this size and it has bigger size too this one is to calm and I think the other ones like five pound or can find something generally like around ten bucks to get a Walmart Home Depot Lowe's so it's going to get some I don't really measure it because they're going to hurt the plants if I add extra or not so I'm just going to pour some in here and then you got to make sure you're wearing gloves because if you get the stuff on your hands all right so this guy all right none of these honors fish mix right here it's got all the goodies and stinky and go ahead and slow the address soon you got to remember when you when you have dry soil and put water in here the first thing that's going to do is go to size and use your power so what you want to do with rice oil is add a little bit of water let it soak in so then when you water it and you go from evenly and that is a really good trick in pots like this so we're going to do add a little bit here I'm going to let it soak in add a little more the guy's cocaine drip down should fill the guy up after maybe 10 15 if you starting your bottle bottom now while I'm Philip and others number back you also fall completely to all the juices right let's drain out gorgeous back in here I'm going to do it for stomach back and then let's not drain out also through all the flow here completely absorption while I had this plan in December it is now March 4th my water didn't maybe want to fight because it was dormant you know I didn't want to pull to stay wet but now that a spring time I want this thing come back and life on the charts growing looks like has little buds here and kind of peak zoom in I know a lot of people recommend when you get a plan and you cut it down and then kind of let it grow back but it is pretty small so I'll just let it grow if it grows on everywhere and I want to keep it out of small size and I'll just tip it from here somewhere but for now and leave it I'm going to ask them more of this fish fertilizer lip-lip this little hook it up even more and then let it drain off the bottom you can tell the soil is really good because you can see it's draining out from the bottom you wanted me to have wet feet then start rotting out all right that is pretty much I knew repot persimmon we have we have our light one casting we have our microfiber we have our politics what we are going to do now let's take this guy in here and remember before it was at 2:00 or less because it was dry now that stick this guy in here and it is wet is that a nine so what we're going to do is just let it drain out whatever the plant needs it will absorb the soil won't stay too wet and you can see you want to clean this thing out every time and I'm not going to water this only for another week or so make sure that it starts going meat or I'm frequently watering it and that is pretty much it you can see all the water drained out again and we can put this aside we're going to grab this stuff let me give it to wait tree without God from Aleppo last year for free and the reason I got this for free is because I bosses my brown 13 shake and the lady at the congressman's I hate that great plan look at that we would always kind of budding from the bottom she like man said you have a secrete like sleep the broader hole a bucket in this pot I added some good soil I gave him lots of water and then it started growing so it was just it was just pretty much this and then last year after I put in some the soil everything you've got all this girls up to here and I need to take these apart and tie it off again which I will do maybe once I start getting some great solvent in and make a radio from album
