Please explain how to make a duct tape deluxe accordion wallet

hey guys in this video I'm going to be showing you how to make a deluxe accordion wallet because on one of my videos I asked you guys to comment if you wanted to see this and a bunch of you did so I hope really hope that this video helps you guys out and you can make your very own wallet and this is what your wallet should turn out looking like at the end the supplies you will need is two rolls of duct tape and clear tape a cutting mat a ruler a piece of ID plastic that is 3 and 3/4 inches long by 2 and 1/4 inches tall a set of velcro dots or any type of velcro an exacto knife a piece of zip lock that is three and a half inches long and lastly you will need scissors make sure you have everything ready before we begin the first part we're going to make is the coin pouch so to do this you're going to cut out four pieces of your solid color that are three and a half inches long and then you're going to take one of those and take one piece of your Ziploc and then with that one piece of your Ziploc you're basically going to put that piece of tape right above it and then fold it over and then it should look like this and you're going to do the same thing with your other piece of Ziploc now you're going to have two pieces that look like this and with each one of them you're going to overlap it so it is three inches tall just like I'm doing here and then flip it over and it should look like this and do the same thing with your other piece once you've done that to both pieces of your Ziploc you should have two pieces that look like this and you're just going to put them together like that so the ends are touching and using your main color you're going to put a strip right down the middle and then I just cut off the sides so it looks like this and then you're just going to use two more pieces of your main color to cover up the remaining sticky by putting the two pieces of tape right under the Ziploc we're going to fold it together and Ziploc it together and then you're going to cut out a piece of your solid color once again that is three and a quarter inches and you're going to cut it into four pieces making sure that you use a ruler and then you're going to cut two of the pieces to be three inches so you have two pieces that are three and a fourth and two pieces that are three inches long you're going to use the two pieces that are three and a quarter inches long and use them to seal up the sides of the coin pouch so just seal them up like I'm doing here and you will have a little bit of sticky at the top but just wait until you're done with both so then you can open up this a black coin pouch and then fold over the stickiness so it's a nice rounded edge set the two pieces that are three inches long off to the side we'll use them later on this is what your completed coin pouch should look like you can set your coin pouch off to the side for now while we make the expandables to make the expandables you're basically going to cut four pieces of tape that are six inches long and then fold them in half like this and smooth them out so there's no wrinkles or creases in the tape and do the same thing with all of your pieces of tape so you have four expandables once you have your expandables cut you're going to cut a piece of clear tape that's three inches long and using a ruler cut it into four pieces and this is going to be to attach onto the expandables so take one piece of clear tape and an expandable and have the rounded part of the expandable facing up and then put the piece of clear tape on the right side and then take another expandable and piece of clear tape and do the exact same thing put it on the right side with the rounded part facing up and then for the last two expandables you're going to put that piece of clear tape also on the right side but you're going to do it when the rounded part is facing down so when you flip it back up you have two expandables with the clear tape on the right in two with the clear tape on the left now we are going to attach the expandables to the coin pouch so take one expandable and making sure that the rounded part is facing the top of the coin pouch you're just going to place it on like that and then smooth out the clear tape and then taking an opposite expandable you're going to place it also on the same side like this and just make sure that when you're doing this the rounded part of the expandable is facing up so there's no rough edges and then just attach the other two expandables so now you should have something that looks like this so when you fold the expandables back they have like rough edges and they're sticky so to solve this we're going to cut out a piece of tape that's three inches and then cut a little bit off but I actually have these from earlier so that's what I'm using and you're just going to put it half on and just fold it over like that to basically just cover up the rough edges like I'm doing and do that to both sides of the coin pouch so now we're going to make the divider so to do this cut out four pieces of tape that are three and a half inches long and then take one of them and you're going to line it up so it is exactly three inches tall so you have a piece that looks like this and then you're going to flip it over and take one of your other pieces that we cut out and lay it down on the bottom to cover the sticky and using your last piece you're going to overlap it like this and then there should be sticky at the top and you're going to fold it over so it's a rounded edge and there you have one divider so you're going to repeat this step one more time so you have two dividers then you can set the dividers off to the side for now we'll come back to them in a little bit now we're going to make two more expandables for the last expandable section of the wallet so you're going to cut out two pieces that are six inches long and then fold them in half like this like we did earlier making sure that there's not a lot of creases and wrinkles in the tape and once you've done that you're going to cut a piece of clear tape that is three inches and cut it into four separate pieces and you're going to take two of those and set them up to the side for now we'll use them later and then with the remaining two you're going to put one of them on each expandable one of them on the right side with the rounded part facing up and one on the right side as well but with the rounded part of the expandable facing down now we are going to attach the expandables to the dividers so take a divider and an expandable and you're just going to attach it with the clear tape making sure that the rounded edges on the divider and expandables are facing the right way and just attach your other expandable as well and then you're going to fold in your expandable like this and then crease it so now I should have something that looks like this and we're going to take our two pieces of clear tape that are three inches that we cut earlier and put them on the outside of the expandables and this is really hard to explain but hopefully you can see what I'm doing and then do the same thing on the other expandable and then you're going to would take your other divider and just attach it using the clear tape so once you have something that looks like this we're going to move on to attaching these two pieces together so to do that you're going to cut a piece of tape that's three inches and then cut it in half and then with one of those pieces you're going to take your coin pouch with the expandables and fold the expandable like this and just put the piece of tape half on half off and do the same thing with your other piece of tape but like opposite like the opposite expandable so you have something that looks like this and then just crease the expandables like that so they're creased and then you're going to take this piece and basically just attach it and the most important thing when you're doing this is just make sure that the rounded parts are all facing up and yeah I can't really explain this but hopefully you can see what I'm doing it's pretty simple to do and once you've done that it should look like this and now we're almost done we just need to make the outer sheet of the wallet so cut two pieces of yoursel solid color that are ten inches long and overlap them on top of each other so they are three and 3/4 inches tall and as you can tell here I messed up and only cut them to be nine and a half because I forgot but for a deluxe accordion while I highly highly recommend doing 10 inches instead of dying nine and a half because it leaves a lot more space for the wallet to grow but once you've done that you're just going to flip it over so it's sticky side up and then using my main color I cut out pieces to cover up all the sticky and when you do this you want to make sure that you leave about a quarter to a half of an inch sticky on all four sides and of course you can clear tape anything that you want to I usually clear tape the seams which is what I'm doing here this is optional of course you don't have to do it but I do recommend it so now we're going to cut out the boxes in all the four corners and to do this you're basically just going to cut two slits from the corners as I'm doing here and do this to all four corners and then with the ruler you're going to cut all of the sticky down to a quarter-inch and then with one of the shorter sides you're just going to fold over the sticky and now we are just going to attach everything together so taking one expandable you're going to put it on the sticky out like this and then with your exacto knife cut where it ends and then attach the other expandable to the other side and also cut the slit and then you're just going to fold all the expandables on top of each other kind of and it should kind of look like this when you fold everything on top of each other and then you're going to fold that up and then cut a slit where it ends and then fold that sticky over and I forgot to show that but it's pretty simple and next all we're going to do is cut a piece of tape that's three inches and cut it into four pieces and I just clear tape that piece right there because it makes it like more secure and everything so yep I'm just clear taping that and then folding the piece of clear tape over and I do that to both sides next we're going to trim it the idea so I had this piece of scrap tape of my main color that I'm just using budgets cut it to the same size of your ID and then just trim your ID to a quarter inch and I use my cutting mat for this and then I flip it over and fold over the extra sticky and then I also clear tape my trim so I'm taking a piece of clear tape and just clear taping my trim and then taking your wallet you're just going to attach it by folding up the bottom piece and then I like to clear tape the sticky at the bottom so I take another piece of clear tape and just cover it up and smooth it out with the card and then fold it back up and fold over the sides and you're basically done with your deluxe accordion wallet last thing we need to do is put on the velcro so you just take one piece put it in the middle take the other piece and it's pretty self-explanatory you just fold it down like that and now you are done all you need to do is cut the slits of the ID thank you guys so much for watching this video I really hope that it helped you guys and you were able to make your own deluxe accordion wallet and please comment down below if there's any other tutorials that you guys want to see on anything and I'll do my best to do them so thanks for watching and I'll see you guys in my next video bye
