Please explain how to install granite tile countertop (1 of 6) - receiving your lazy granite kitchen

hey there I'm Sasha I'm gonna show you how to install some lazy granite in your kitchen today before I do that I'm gonna show you how to receive the lazy granite what do you do when this giant crate shows up at your house bear with us we're in our shop it's quite noisy we're preparing a lot of customer orders one of the most common questions we get from customers is how do you ship all that granite to me safely this is a fragile product so we're gonna show you how we do that what you need to do to be prepared when the shipment comes to you now the shipping industry the truckers they're not known for being the friendliest so you need to be a little bit prepared most trucking companies are gonna give you a two-hour delivery window and deliver within that window when the crate arrives to you it's going to be this big heavy crate on top of the truck and we're gonna need to unload it so I'm gonna show you how to do that you need to have a drill ready usually this lid is screwed on four corners so just four screws are gonna pop the lid right off you're gonna have a knife ready to go to open up the product all right so let's have a look inside here you can see it's padded quite nicely we recycle a bunch of carpet this is our sink it it's got a disclaimer right on it we're gonna talk about that in a minute we've got our corners boxed up we've got lazy tiles in here the sink at the bottom some sealer and then this is some addition additional cushioning for the trip so you'll notice we got all the corners nice and packed tight in there the backsplash is often I'm gonna arrive looking just like this and what you should be checking for is just to make sure there's a solid piece you can cut this open lay them out should only take a minute next big item we've got here is the sink kit now notice the disclaimer it says attention this is your sink kit it's extremely fragile until installed we cocked it to this protective shield for transit you need to take it out of the shield very carefully so it's important to notice we've had a couple of customers break their sink kits by being a bit rough handling them we've given you a razor blade here for your unpacking convenience so you got the sink it out it's got this nice honeycomb panel protection you move this out of your way alrighty so here's your sink it we got it opened up there are two pieces and you'll notice we've got them glued onto this honeycomb panel so you'll take that razor blade that we provide for you in the box run the razor blade along here and just really carefully separate it alright so let's have a look at what's left in here we've got the stainless steel sink 16 gauge we've got the lazy tiles and the 24 by 24 s this is a real customer kitchen that's about to be shipped out takes only a few minutes to unpack so long as you're ready make sure you've got your tools there and we want you to do that with the trucker they're on site all of our shipments are insured but in order for the insurance to kick in you need to sign off if there's anything wrong you need to sign off if for some reason you don't have a chance to inspect everything you can put right on there on the delivery receipt I haven't inspected everything so that if down the road if we were to have any kind of issue an hour a day later we can still make our insurance claim with that said damage is quite rare if there's ever any issues we can UPS you replacement pieces quite quickly however keep in mind you're much more likely to break a piece while you're cutting or laying it then we are in the shipping process so you always need extras
