hi this is rebecca from chemnitz and i'm here with allfreeknitting.com to talk to you about p2 tug or purling two stitches together normally when you purl a stitch you insert your needle through the front of the stitch in the opposite direction of the left hand needle wrap the yarn around and pull it through to purl two together instead insert your needle into two stitches pointing the opposite direction of the left hand needle you then wrap the yarn around and pull your needle through both of those stitches removing them both from the needle you insert your needle into the front of two stitches as if you would purl rather than one wrap the yarn around and pull it through insert your needle through the front of two stitches wrap your yarn around and pull it through and there you go you are now decreasing stitches by purling two together happy knitting
