hey guys this is tmf i'm jose suniga and for this video i'm going to be doing the um the segment that i had mentioned in a couple previous videos which is basically how to tailor for this segment it's how to tailor denim um i'm gonna be teaching you how to tailor denim especially if you have that that problem where you want tailored bottom end but you have big thighs so as you can see i'm actually wearing some matte bow straight cut jeans and you can already kind of tell the problem in my thigh area these are straight cut jeans and you can still see my my my leg muscle and that's the problem and as you can see from the bottom it's super wide open and to me it looks ugly especially wearing loafers like that it just doesn't look appealing so what i'm gonna be doing is bringing you guys along so you guys can see how i tailor my clothing and see the difference that it actually does make process is very simple if you don't know what to say bring a picture along and show your tailor maybe that'll help and if he's a good tailor he should know what he's doing so come along and you'll see exactly what i asked my tailor and how to tailor my clothing hi guys so i'm here at my taylor's house where he does his work and i'm about to get my jeans tailored that you saw in the video previously these are the jeans actually i kind of switched them up because my other jeans um i don't know i just misplaced them i can't find them so i brought these but as you can see they fit really big from the waist and they fit really big from the bottom they look hideous all right so my first tip is with your jeans make sure you wash them once or twice before bringing them in because jeans tend to shrink down so wash them once or twice until you get the actual fit that they're going to be and then bring them to the tailor also bring the shoes that you're going to be using it with the most you know i wear loafers a lot so obviously i threw on some penny loafers for this fitting so my tail taylor's gonna fix my jeans as best as he can and we'll see the after when he's done so you ready giovanni oh yeah i'm ready he's very enthusiastic yeah so he's gonna start with the waist because this is where the johns are two inches to take in so all he's doing is he takes really four okay so i wanted to do so all he's really doing what he just told me is he's not taking it from the waist to it four inches in total because that's all the excess that i have okay see here yeah this is like a whole legged effect and you don't want this so you want to take it in down here which takes that away there's a lot of science that goes into it oh yeah definitely for me anyway i don't know if you guys heard that part but basically he said that you can't take it in from the inside you can but it's not going to help the situation yeah because i have like a bow legged effect and that's the beauty of tailoring that everything's tailored to your body you know and like he just said i have a bow-legged effect so you really don't want to take it in from the inside according to him because it'll just enhance that situation and what he's going to do he's just going to take it from the outside and taper really from the corner of the outside because that's going to actually balance out my bullet effect and make me look visually or aesthetically makes legs straighter straighter you know so that's the beauty of going to a tailor and especially a tailor that knows what he's doing you know so we're almost done here with the fitting i'm about to show you how he pinned me up um yeah no you don't have to yeah yeah you marked it right yeah okay so this is basically this is for you to see yeah but when i'm doing it it's measured by numbers and everything exactly so the pending really the pinning process was for you guys so you guys can see like kind of what he's going to be taking off all the excess fabric but honestly when i come here on a regular basis he doesn't do this you know he works off numbers you know he might mark it with some chalk but that's about it but the pinning this is basically how he does it and yeah he just marks it with some chalk and for him you know because he works differently this is just for you guys so you get to get a visual so this is basically it and we'll just have to wait about a week or two see what he has done and i'll show you the after pictures then oh big difference yeah definitely all right so i'm from back from the taylors it was about one week and the grand total was 89 he charged me 89 for everything and he did an amazing job i mean as you can see from the jeans right now the jeans look beautiful it's nothing like what you saw before another thing that this taylor did that a lot of tailors don't do and that's the great thing about finding a good tailor he actually i don't know if you can tell on the jeans it has um some gold stitching well that gold stitching it's very hard to match right so once you take it out it's hard to match up with another one what he actually does is he takes out the original gold stitching that comes with the jeans he irons it out and then reuses it when he sews he sews back up the jean so the jean looks basically from factory and it has a beautiful fit and this is how a jean should fit you know it's not tight at all it's nicely taped from the bottom it has no none of those nasty breaks and it looks great with the loafers and i just want to say sorry for the jeans i know i was supposed to use the light one but just so you guys know the dark jeans are the exact same cut as the light ones as you saw from my uh review on denim or my guide to denim they were both matt mott and bo jeans and both of them were size 32-32 so they were the exact same jeans just different color all right and i i misplaced the other one and i couldn't find it so i had to use these i found them however but you know it's kind of too late but again you saw the difference that tailoring made and you saw how you have to do it so if you need more on how to find a good tailor i have a link on that also or a video on that and i'll link it below and i'll teach you or explain to you steps
