hi everybody its Michelle G I'm a health a certified health wellness and nutrition coach and I'm here to bring you healthy tips - and recipes to live a healthy nourishing lifestyle so the recipe of the day is how to how to make homemade salad dressing with fresh simple ingredients so easy we're gonna make a limit lemon vinaigrette today this is my personal everyday go-to salad dressing you don't want to use it's so important you don't have to use a bottle of salad dressing I have one here okay this is a video Guerette I can't read one thing that it says here I can't pronounce it uh I do see the vegetable and canola oil you don't have don't use vegetable oil or canola oil use extra virgin olive oil and why do we use extra virgin olive oil it's because very simply when you make extra virgin olive oil they take the olive they put it in a press and they press it what comes out the oil the oil of the olive that's what you want the purest freshest ingredients possible you're putting it in your body okay this is like I said my everyday salad dressing lemon vinaigrette and it's only four ingredients extra virgin olive oil lemon some pink sea salt and pepper that's it and I use a glass jar because I like it because first of all you could shake it so you don't have to shake it I like it creamy looking so now what we do is we take a lemon and we cut it and today I'm going to use a juicer you don't have to you can use one of the things you squish with your hands or those old fashioned Turner things but I like this sometimes and we're going to unite the whole lemon so there's no ways you could just it too if you like and you don't want to use that you want the freshest like I said again fresh ingredients you don't want to use that lemon in a plastic container that looks like a lemon that's fake or garlic out of a jar that's chopped up that has citric acid in it when you could take a piece of garlic and chop it up so simple okay so this is it so this is a whole lemon and how you could judge is you want to use the lemon juice and do extra virgin olive oil you want it more than half way so you want like this much of a acidity something acity and then this much olive oil just like that and this is not just for once now this is for like a week and you do a pinch of salt I like pepper so I do a couple more times stick in the jar and shake voila salad dressing see now I'm even gonna show you look how creamy look that's what you're talking about YUM so now we can even add to that and modify it so we could add a little garlic and this will keep in your refrigerator for a week I keep it outside of my eye you eat a lot of salad so I keep it outside of mine on my kitchen counter our house isn't really ever that cold that hot I should say and maybe in the summer I wouldn't do that then these are fresh herbs fresh fresh I just picked them so there's basil thyme and that's it basil own time and again you chop them up you could put a shower in this you could put cumin it just gives a different flavor but the basic as you know lemon juice extra virgin olive oil and salt pepper stick that in here like that give another shake and look at this how beautiful that is see how pretty that is lovely what chuffing sound so this is how to make a lemon vinaigrette until our next video this is the how-to chick bye bye
