Today's topic is how to bleed air from your
brakes. Normally this is a two person job, somebody has to be inside of the car, pushing
on the pedal to push fluid and air back to your bleeder. This is your bleeder on your
brake. By loosing this up after somebody holds the pedal down to the floor, the air will
come out, you must close it and then let off the pedal. Push the pedal down again, let
it open the bleeder, let the air out, close it up, let the pedal off. It can also be done
by yourself if you have one of these handy tools, which is a vacuum pump ornament and
you hook this up to the vacuum pump, you hook this line to your bleeder which I just showed
you and you pump, pump it, pump it, pump it, it pulls the fluid out and pushes it into
the container. You can also bleed the brakes by yourself, by having a stick or something
that would push down on the pedal and hold it for you against the seat while you loosen
the bleeder and let the air out. Tighten the bleeder back up, go back to the car, take
off the stick, pump the brake down, push, put a hook into the place, go back into the
car again, loosen it up, let the air out, tighten it up. This is the proper procedure
for taking air out of your system.
