right now we're gonna we're gonna cut the window do a match to a beveled window for that first thing we do again remove the lock it's a blade move it over curved part stays on top like that in their turn the lock nice and stuck okay for this process it's important to mark your board where your window ghosts I'm using this so when you mark it you want to mark on the backside of your board and you're going to be cutting on the backside of your board so I marked it with crosses in the four corners of where my window is gonna be that's gonna tell me where to start pushing in the blade and I'm gonna travel the blade to the next quarter another important thing that this method is to ask the TA to use this guy it's a guy in a in a square it'll help you cutting your windows in both measurement and keeping your lines straight everything's the way this goes we'll just let the lamp out of the way has a little catch right here that'll slide into this track up here is another track they'll also give you this other knob that's where that goes screw it in don't tighten it down just yet you still need to move it around another nice thing about it is it has a ruler here and it has a little indicator of how far you are from the cutting area from the where the blade cuts that will help you double check your measurements so on this particular window I came in four inches this way five inches that way so if I want I can measure this to four inches and then tighten it down take this one yeah push the board right up against this one and right up against this one then I can bring the clamp down and I can double-check my blade to see where he's gonna start cutting and it's getting right on my marks so this thing's really nice really accurate see what you want to do is come in right at the corner of that cross across then you marked push it in until it goes all the way in I can't apply pressure the clamp to keep the straight let's just pull it back right yeah to the other cross another important thing to remember is you're cutting from inside the box so make sure the blade is on the inside of your box cutting in this way instead of out here telling him that way or else that will reverse your bevel and the backside will become your front side and you want that and I'll show you that after I cut the full window so you can see where the bevel is I switch to this side I cut in I measured in five inches I'm gonna switch this and cheese pocket okay push it up against this guy against that guy over that and double-check with my blade looks good so go right up on my cross push in full we're back to the next intersection you'll repeat that on the other two sides okay so now that we got our window cut if you flip it over your notice that you know the window is not falling it out falling out the cut hasn't come all the way to the corners on this side so what we want to do is we'll want to grab a blade you can ask on the tea ice for an extra blade come in here and I like to come in from behind and just kind of work the blade into that gap and let it sit in there and push the window back in that gives me the same angle as I was cutting with the mat cutter okay I'll come in here make sure it's pressed so I can keep that angle and I'll just kind of gently guide it and when I get to the corner I'll just start pushing a little bit okay you don't wanna go too far but again work on it topside work on the top side push it in so you get that angle just kind of work it down very gently and that should pop the corner out on the other sides well that just came right now and down here on the bottom try not to drop the bleed a little bit and should come right up you notice now we have the front of our mat is gray and you have a nice beveled cutter on edge
