welcome back to my channel take 4 what wait for her to turn off my air purifier because you can hear it want you guys to check out my last video my project for 2016 video that'll show up at the end of the video too if you want to keep watching this one but really like I would rather you just watch that one to be honest so it's been about like maybe 6 weeks since I've updated my hair and you can see my roots are pretty long and I'm so excited to update them so first I'm gonna go out and get all the stuff that need go get my hair cuts I like to dye my hair with a fresh cut and I will see you guys in us one second bye you okay so I just got back from getting my hair cut I went to Supercuts in Danvers girl Shawna she cut my hair did a great job and actually all the girls that worked there were fabulous they were all beautiful and know that doesn't matter I walked in they were like I like your hair and I was like girl you're beautiful okay let's get started with the dyeing process okay so to bleach my hair I'm going to be using this Clairol professional blotting kit which I got at Sally's Beauty Supply along with everything else I used to do my hair and supposedly this is scalp safe so you apply directly to your scalp which is what we're doing this kit comes with everything you need to bleach your hair it comes with a 20 developer but I'm going to be using a 30 developer because the last time I bleach my hair with the 20 developer I had to do it three times so 20 developer is not strong enough for my hair so I am using a 30 the first thing you want to do is pour the entire 2 ounce bottle of the seven-stage cream hair Lightner into a plastic mixing bowl and then you want to add four ounces of developer to the mixture so it's one part cream whitener and two parts developer so the kit comes with two of the lightening activators if you have thin brittle hair I suggest you only use one packet but where I have very thick strong hair I need both packets to get that full lift then you just want to mix everything up make sure you mix it really thoroughly obviously it's a you don't need me to tell you that and once it's all mixed you are ready to go so this process is much easier if you have someone else doing it for you but I am way too impatient for that so I just did it myself the most important thing is that you don't bleach over the parts of your hair that have already been bleached like I've already said my hair is pretty strong so I'm not that concerned with over bleaching my hair but basically what you want to do is start from the back and work forward you want to section the hair like you see I Section two here and paint onto the root and then use the stem of the brush to fold it back like you just saw to get the underside of the hair because you want to make sure that you're not missing any pieces because you don't have to go back with bleach because it's so annoying and your head's gonna hate you so after you've done the top of your head you're gonna move on to the sides and back of your head make sure you put on more bleach than you think you need because the bleach dries really easily on short short hair like I had on the side of my head so I had one piece in the front that was still a little brassy that didn't lift completely the last time I did my hair so this is me trying to wrap my hair with aluminum foil without being able to see but I just event so the bleach wouldn't get on the other parts of my hair that have already been bleached so then you just want to wrap your head with a plastic bag I just want to quickly shout out Market Basket for sponsoring this video the bag is super important because you don't want the bleach to dry because bleach dries is not gonna lift it's not gonna lift it's not gonna work and you're gonna have orange hair so this is me taking the bag off after about 45 minutes maybe an hour it's gonna be different for everyone you just want to kind of watch it but once your hair looks like it's pretty light like it looks there that's when you want to wash it out this is what it looks like and it's exactly what you want to look like you want to be the color of the inside of a banana peel I mean the inside of a banana like a banana like not the peel think the banana part that's the color you want so now let's just get on to toning this looks cool let's get started alright so I am using the well at t18 lightest ash blonde toner and I'm mixing that with a twenty developer I'm using the entire 1.4 ounce bottle of toner and then mixing in two point eight ounces of developer so it's a one to two ratio honestly I just use my hands to put the toner into my hair you could use a brush but my hair's short enough that I can get even coverage with just using my hands just make sure that you are getting even coverage because you don't want it to be patchy so if you want a platinum blond color you're going to want to leave this toner in for about 20 minutes but where I'm going for a gray color I'm actually going to leave the toner in for about an hour so it's going to take all that yellow out when you bleach your hair you're stripping the pigment from your hair and when you tone it you're depositing a pigment on to the hair so since our hair is yellow we want to apply the opposite color of yellow which if you look at the color wheel is purple so that's why a purple toner takes all the yellow out of your hair okay so I just finished toning it's really good but it's yellow on the roots and it's a pretty yellow on the side cuz it was all one color before I dyed it I know I don't need to bleach it again I just needed tone it again and I'm just gonna tone the roots just the roots in the sides I look crazy right now really wait am i doing I'll see how it looks when it's done I think it's probably done about now it's been about an hour I'm ready to go wash it out let's hope it's not purple here imagine maybe while you shall bug-eyed don't people buy that you'll notice it's just a camera it's just off the unit alright guys so I just washed a toner out of my hair and I think it looks pretty darn good you know I may or may not have caused permanent damage to my head but that's beside the point I hope you guys enjoyed watching this video if you learned something I promise my next video will be one of my normal why does he talk so fast why you screaming type of video but for now you're just gonna have to you know rewatch this one if you miss me sorry I love you guys I'm going to go bye
