Hi I'm Mat from eSpares. In this video I'll be changing the
heater on this DRVT 61 W Beko tumble dryer. If you notice that your appliances is making the usual noises during the drying cycle but isn't heating up there's a high chance that the heater has failed. Safety first always unplug the appliance before carrying out any work. And the first thing I need to do is to remove the heater cowl at the back
of the appliance by undoing these screws. Now with back panel removed here we can
see the heater. Now it's easy enough to
remove this from the back of the machine you need to unscrew these two
screws here disconnect the electrical connector and then slide the heater out from its locating tabs. Now it's worth remembering that this
machine can overheat there are two main reasons for this. It's either a blocked filter which stops the air circulating around the machine, or the machine has been turned off in the
middle of a cycle. What happens that is that he'd still rises out from the heater causing the thermostat to trip. Now it is possible to reset this thermostat by just pressing down the green button
in the center where you hear a satisfying click. So before you replace your heater make sure all that you've done that first.
Now in this instance there are two damaged elements on the heater
itself so I'm going to replace it Next I need to remove this electrical
connector where I just use a small flathead screwdriver
to press down the tab before levering it out three tabs to locate your new heater onto the back of the dryer one tab here. The hooked tab here and the final tab there. Now I can reconnect to the electrical
connector and then refit the mounting screws. With mounting screws back into
position I can refit the heater cowl. And there we have it!. One new heater fitted this Beko tumble dryer. Spares and accessories for all make and
