Please explain how to repair hole and cracks in plaster wall (part 1, stabilizing lath and plaster)

hi I'm Rory Brennan owner of big Wally's plaster magic today I'm going to show you how to repair a plaster hole and start to finish this hole is typical of what happens when you retrofit electricity into the 1900s house oftentimes to get a saw in here and it vibrates the last it breaks all the plaster loose next thing I'm going to do is I'm going to take this out and I'm going to stabilize the little app in here to give me something to plaster on when I get to that point okay that's loose now we can get in behind there the first step in stabilizing the plaster is to get ready to do the adhesive work for that I have to drill holes in the plaster to the last so the adhesive will get between the plaster and the last okay now we're put the conditioner in the conditioner is sprayed in the holes what it does is it prepares the plaster and the last for the adhesive now that we spray the conditioner in there we're injecting the adhesive to reattach the plaster to the left we want to take all this adhesive and wipe it down while it's still fresh you will note that I did not clamp any of this and the reason is all the plaster is within 3/16 of an inch of the laughs so it does not need to be clamped now that the adhesive work is done we're going to prepare the services for plastering if you have any questions about this please email me Rory Brennan at info of plaster magic comm the next video will show the replastering completely
