if you were returning welcome if this is your first time stopping by if you're not subscribed yet please feel free to hit that red button and join the family today I'm showing you how I make ginger beer like I said beer so it does have some level of alcohol using one quarter cup of ginger pieces I'm going to be pouring that into my blender where there is one cup of water I'm going to also be using two and a half tablespoons of lemon juice as well as three quarter cups of brown sugar lastly will be 1/8 teaspoon of yeast so let me go over and blend my ginger and then I will get to cooking that to help dissolve my sugar I'm also going to be rinsing my blender with an additional cup of water and I just added my lemon juice to that so like I said I will be cooking this down all you're looking for is to dissolve the sugar completely and that has happened here so I'm just going to let this cool completely cool down and then we'll get to pouring this into our bottle so I'm just using my sieve to press out the ginger juice and get rid of the Shack I split it in half because I'm using 2 1 liter bottles if you have a 2 liter bottle then go ahead and use that I have my funnel over that I'm going to go ahead and add my yeast so I'm using half of 1/8 teaspoon in each bottle so we're going to pour it the ginger juice or a ginger syrup whatever you want to call it into the bottle then I'm going to add about three and a half cups of water just to let's almost full and give it a good shake to dissolve your yeast my bottles are all done and I'm going to put them in my cabinet you want to just keep it in a dark area and check this daily your gonna be fermenting it for about 2 days just check it to make sure that the bottle is not overly swollen so you can release some of the gases if using a glass bottle then definitely open it up after the first day and two days later my ginger beer is ready just place it in the fridge so that the fermentation can slow down and drink it within three or so days enjoy I'll see you next time
