hey welcome to another episode of smoky ribs and welcome to the third video in a hotdog series that I've got going on today I'm going to be doing a Chicago dog authentic Chicago dog and I'd first like to say that down here in South Mississippi the ingredients necessary for this dog are next to impossible to find I was able to find three and the rest of the ingredients I had to order online and luckily I stumble across the Vienna beef company which is synonymous with the Chicago dog that is the original Chicago dog these frankfurters here these are natural casein frankfurters by the vienna company and I've got those and I'll explain a little bit later about watney's being natural casein I've got all the ingredients right here so we're going to go ahead and get started with this and I'll let me show you how to put one of these together all right I've got the steamer going is it's ready what I'm going to do is I'm going to go ahead and start with four of these natural casing all be frankfurters from Vienna beef company we're going to let these go about five or six minutes and what I'd like to say about why it has to be in all natural casing or what should be is because that is part of the experience when you bite into this Chicago dog when your teeth go into that natural casing it's going to create a snap a pop and that's where the juices and the flavors are just going to burst so that's why it's a very important factor to this dog and I'll bring you back here in about five minutes and then going about five minutes wieners are looking good we're going to go ahead and throw four buns in here I'm eating - my wife's eating - we're going to let these steam for about one minute he's had them in here about a minute gonna go ahead and take them out I'll set them off to the side here oh yeah look how tender another thing about these Chicago dogs is these black poppy seeds on this bun that is the must also if not it's just not but you're cago dog alright we're going to go ahead and start with this one right here I'm putting in one of these all beef natural casing Vienna beef wieners alright now from there we're using this plasma as mustard that goes on next I'm going to show you exactly how to build this - what they do in Chicago now we're going to put on this nuclear glow-in-the-dark neon Chicago style relish I have never seen anything that looks quite like this look at that look at the color I don't know if it was made specifically for this dog or what but you definitely can't find this relative alright now I've got some onion here and if you find Val daya that would be the onion of choice this is a yellow onion white onion would carry too much of a bite but this is a sweeter onion it's not going to be as strong as white onion but Val Delia would be best and that's one thing I could not find more out of season for that right now we simply get a couple of tomato wedges this is one kosher dill pickle spare right here only it just like that all right the last condiment that we're going to add to this is the sport pepper just like that then we're going to season this with this celery salt also from Vienna oh man look at that can't wait to try this up all right let's take a taste look at that set some that's going to be a mouthful is what that's going to be here we go I'm going in hmm Wow there's a lot of flavors going on right there hmm traveling these sport peppers out hmm such freshness man this thing is killer don't leave time I've had when I cago dog was like a knock off a reckoner and say from the sonic drive-in I don't remember it being near this good they were pretty good but this one is old man so much better mmm all these flavors men you would think this would not work with everything that's on here this is probably the most improbable thing at all that just happens to work this is freakin delicious all right I'm uploading this video a little bit premature from what I normally do I normally upload on a Sunday afternoon and Sunday night but I'm actually moving this weekend and it's probably going to be about a week we can have two weeks probably more likely before I get another upload up so I'm going to go ahead and post this because Friday we're going to get our move and uh I don't know when the cable companies don't get my internet going and such as that so with that said until next time smoke your ribs Oh Oh you
