hey guys welcome back to another of my videos i'm andrew aka narcissus so today's video is going to be a how to apply pomade video um before i decided to film the video i was wearing grim grease water base um heavy i had a two day build up of that and i just decided to wash it out and use a orthodox water base and today i'm going to be using lay right only reason i'm using that over any other pomade is because i just feel like when using orthodox water bases you get more of a expected style so it's just something to expect out of using these i'm not saying you won't get the same look from any other ponies it's just whenever i tend to use an orthodox water base as opposed to an unorthodox water base or a oil base on me i happen to always get what i look for every single time and sometimes when switching through other pomades especially when i just got my hair cut um it's not always consistent so with this i know that i am going to get the style that i'm looking for no matter what i tend to not use these so much anymore because um they lack they lack in conditioning properties but from my sake of the how-to videos um i'm just gonna start using these for any of the how-to videos um orthodox water bases are gonna be the thing um as for far as reviews go i couldn't use those if they're requested or if there's something new coming out but yeah um just gonna go ahead and show how to apply the pomade so this can go for basically any type of pomade um like i said orthodox unorthodox and oil-based pomades i just decided to use this because well if i waste this it doesn't really matter so they're not hard for me to find i'm going to go ahead and start applying them when applying the pomade i go ahead and grab a little scoop out like that um that's what i try to go for pretty much every single time i use any type of plumbing just a small scoop like that would do my hair is moist i just got out of the shower and i recently got a haircut i don't know if you guys can tell um it was longer back then in the other video i'm gonna go ahead and dry it up a bit because i'm using a water-based pomade i don't want the water to interfere with the styling i'm not even gonna show the styling process but i am going to do another video back-to-back from this video and it's basically going to be the how to part your hair so i'm going to dry on my hair skip through that let's see this so my last video i talked about the ceiling fan that was in my um restroom and how it was a little bit loud and i told you guys i would do something about it if i got any complaints about the noise of it and i did which is constructive criticism which is fine with me that's what i was looking for um so i went ahead and instead of changing the location i just feel like in the restroom it's such a better place to shoot a video i went and kept the lights off but brought in a lamp for my room um sounds really dumb but yeah it's gonna help out the videos hopefully the lighting isn't too bad in here um also guys excuse me i got myself these things i was finally able to get to a sally's on time um like i was trying to get to one for the longest time ever i work basically until 7 30 every day um besides the weekends um but on the weekends i have stuff to do so i tend to not go to sally's on the weekends but um on a friday i happened to be getting out of work earlier that day and i found the sally's that was open so i was able to pick one up or pick those out um so scooping up the pomade i'm gonna grab that much of a scoop i'm gonna go ahead and rub it between my hands and break it down as much as possible so with water bases it isn't that hard or unorthodox water basis it isn't that hard um they break down pretty easily and combing it through your hair is just as easy or i'm sorry applying it through your hair is just as easy when i apply and i'm trying to get all the coverage as possible i do use a front to back motion and this is not the only way to style or apply pomade because there's no one way guys but when you're trying to coat your whole hair this is uh the way i found best to do it so to evenly distribute the pomade i'm going to use the white side tooth of the cone this is by the way an ion comb for any of you guys who don't know i'm going to go ahead and comb through the hair and evenly distribute the pomade throughout so now that it's all distributed i'm gonna go ahead and grab another scoop that size again not too big nothing too huge um i'm gonna go ahead and rub it in one more time or not even one more time i might do this like a couple times and then i'm going to do a side to side motion and this is going to help get the palmy through the hair um because sometimes like just using a front to back motion it only covers the top of the pomade and it doesn't get into the roots which for me it's necessary in order to obtain my curls um so i'm just going to use a side to side motion this time i'm not gonna comb or distribute the palming because i'm gonna do a back to front motion this time and this time i don't use that much again this much rub it in front to back and this is just like i said to get pomade through every strand of hair that's what i try to do is basically cover every strand of hair possible now i'm combing it backwards because our finger combing it backwards because if i were to have just got in the comb and just started combing it back after i combed it side to side in front too bad i mean back to front i would have caught a lot of tangles in my hair and i would have started breaking my hair which is not something you want to do guys try your best not to break any hairs so now i'm distributing the pomade again with my comb um right now that's pretty slick down to where i like it to be and from this point i'll use one more scoop about that size again just to coat the top layer of the hair and to keep that shine because when you're using orthodox water-based pomades you tend to not have too much shine it dulls out and it becomes like very matte and almost like an unhealthy matte not like the matte of your natural hair color so i'm gonna just go ahead and put apply the pomade through the top of my hair and pretty much i'm done evenly applied everywhere and i would say it's pretty much how you apply pomade to your hair so i hope that video helped out um next one is going to be a how to park your hair so i'm going to shoot that video pretty much instantly after this one so hope you guys liked it um if you guys have any more questions leave them in the link or leave them in the
