to fall on the leaves this increases the chlorophyll and antioxidant levels to 10 fold these shade-grown leaves are carefully harvested gently steamed and the stems and wings are carefully removed dried and then stoned ground to a powder so when you make a regular green tea the components from the leaves get infused into the hot water and then the leaves are discarded but with matcha green tea there are some side effects also which I will discuss towards the end of the video and now let me show you how I make matcha tea and how I try to include it into my daily diet into a saucepan add in 1 cup of water allow the water to boil and once the water boils switch off the flame and keep it for one to one-and-a-half minutes this is just to bring down the temperature to around 70 to 80 degree Celsius into a cup add in 1 teaspoon matcha tea powder I am using matcha scoop made of bamboo so one teaspoon of matcha scoop will be around 1/4 teaspoon of ordinary teaspoon so please keep that in mind now add in little water I like to use a small whisk to mix it though traditionally a bamboo whisk is used to mix now add in the rest of the water and mix well matcha green tea is ready to consume enjoy your cup of matcha green tea I also try to incorporate matcha green tea powder in other foods when I am NOT in a mood to drink the tea by itself so here I have sprinkled matcha green tea powder over my smoothie bowl and here I am adding in one scoop of matcha green tea powder into my smoothie and blending it up all the recipe links will be down below in the description box now let's talk about the side effects of matcha tea even though matcha tea powder is 100% natural and organic form of green tea certain things should be noted when consuming this tea when I first started using matcha tea for myself I felt an irregular heartbeat and dizziness soon after having the tea and I was clueless as to why this happened to me and later I found that I used ordinary tea spoon to measure the powder and made the tea with one teaspoon of matcha powder and that is what triggered the dizziness you need to use the matcha tea scoop made of bamboo to measure and it roughly comes around 1/4 to 1/3 of an ordinary tea spoon so if you are using ordinary tea spoon use only 1/4 of a teaspoon each you can increase little by little gradually once I adjusted the dose I started enjoying the tea and felt amazing this tea has more of a grassy flavor which you will start liking in no time matcha tea has caffeine so it is not advisable to drink this in the evening as this might keep you awake at night so the ideal time is to have in the morning and in the afternoon so 2 cups are ideal so 2 cups of matcha green tea is what I recommend and always make sure that you have the second cup before 3 p.m. I hope this video will help you to include matcha green tea in your daily diet thank you for watching until next time bye bye you
