Please explain how to pack glasses for moving | relocation.com

welcome to relocation comm TV I'm Brian Balthazar when you're packing your kitchen your biggest challenge will likely be packing and moving your glassware the most important thing to keep in mind is to use more packing material than you think you need you can't use too much packing paper particularly when dealing with delicate pieces so let's get started for glasses you'll be using a dish pack box these are larger boxes that have double thick walls that provide extra protection for your glassware first roll up several sheets of wadded newsprint and place them at the bottom of the box to provide a nice shock absorber now you're ready to wrap the glasses set aside a nice flat surface to work with and have a big stack of packing paper take a piece of glassware to pack and place it a bit off-center on the paper closest to you fold over the edge of the paper to the inside of the glass and then do the same thing for two other corners stuffing the paper inside the glass then fold the glass over into the last corner of the paper depending on how fragile the piece is fold it into another piece of paper to make sure it's secure once it's wrapped place it upside down in the box and continue wrapping additional pieces of glassware after you finish a layer of glasses place a layer of cardboard on the glassware to separate each layer and fill in any empty space on the sides with peanuts or wadded newsprint keep layering until you reach the top of the box and then place another layer of cardboard and wadded up newsprint before sealing the box Markit fragile and then note it on your inventory sheet for the kitchen that's it the more careful you are the less chance you have of breaking individual items so be sure to take your time and be sure to check out our other videos on packing dishes and packing small appliances I'm Brian Balthazar for relocation comm TV wishing you a smarter move
