today I want to show you how to make this cool catapult for kids just uses some basic craft sticks and some rubber bands all right you're going to need eight basic craft sticks two of the Jumbo craft sticks and three rubber bands where you take your your Jumbo's and you want to do a groove on each side of them both in the same spots okay then you take your your eighth craft sticks here stick them together you want to just do a basic tie of rubber bands and you want these rubber bands to be pretty tight on the sides here because they have to have a lot of resistance so you do one for each side doesn't have to be perfect just get it done alright now you take one of your Jumbo's and you want to get it if I can get this pull apart pushed between the very last two sticks on one side it doesn't really matter which side you use but you just want to push through like so well then you make sure you have the grooves pushed out you're going take your other jumbo put it right on top now this rubber band doesn't need to be nearly as tight I found with these small rubber bands only three layers like that is just right and you push it to push the Jumbo all the way back over and as you pull down on the big side here the rubber bands actually stretch by doing this it it uses the force of the rubber bands to launch whatever instead of bending your craft stick which over time would either warp it or possibly break it but there you go another option you can use just take the cap off of a bottle and you can attach it either glue it or bolt it somehow to the top of your catapult here and it can be at a bucket to sling whatever you're shooting but that is up to you
