hey my reviver hello with guys today I'm gonna be sharing with you how I made my brand-new area rugs it's like when they come to you they're normally like this which means it is hard to get them flat because they've been in this position for a long time so today your girl's gonna show you how I get my circle rug and my rectangular rug to lay flat on my hardwood floors with two different methods so let's go first we're gonna start off by moving everything out of the way so that way we can lay the rug and put it in our desired spot on the dining room floor so that's what we're doing right now and this is the rug now you guys see exactly what I mean it's all balled up crinkled up and all wrinkled so we're gonna prevent that today by the method that I'm getting ready to share with you so now you have the rug after I don't walked across it a couple times I have this double-sided duct tape and this stuff is amazing so I'm gonna go around the perimeter of the rug and I'm going to put pieces all the way around and see if they're in the correct spot to lay all of these wrinkles flat I got this stuff from warmer and it was less than six bucks and I still have a lot left so that's my daughter helping me by pulling the pieces off because it's two sides that you have to pull off and it's kind of tedious but it's well worth it so I'm putting it all the way around the rug and I'm just going around and walking on the wrinkles to help them to flatten out as well all right guys so we have gotten all the little blue sticky papers off so now we're going to walk around the rug to ensure that the sticky sides are sticking to the rug and the floor so that's what you're gonna see a storm right now now this is something that doesn't need to stay you can definitely take this off one shirt brooke has acclimated to the heat and walking on it and this is what it should look like but I just kept mine under we did have to go in and put a little bit of tape in certain areas but it looks pretty good and I like that it's not curled up now this is the rectangle rug and this is for the living room this one was really tightly packaged so it had more of a curl to it that was hard to get out so what you see me doing here is I'm gonna be taking some double-sided industrial velcro to lay this rug now as you can see how tight that curl is we want that out of there because that does not look when you want your rugs to lay flat so that's what I'm doing right here and as you will see I'm gonna be doing the same method as I did with the circle rug place in multiple pieces up and down the sides of the rug to stick it to the floor so that it will lay flat like I said you don't have to keep this on there permanently you can always change this and remove them because the rug will lay flat after some time but when you first get it is irritating to trip and slip over the curled up rug so this will prevent that especially if you have little ones in your home alright guys I hope you guys enjoyed this video make sure you thumbs up and share with someone else and here is what the rug looked like when it was laid down flat so see you in the next video if you were wondering when your girl was on social media this is where I am but hey before you go check out these great videos I have lined up you
