good afternoon everybody it's kimberly from nature's art today um right now i am working on formulating some new scent recipes um i've gathered out some of my favorite oils that i want to work with right now um i've created my recipe page i have a list of my top notes middle notes and base notes that i can mark down as i'm doing it i have baggies i have some q-tips an extra glass and this is what we're going to do um now most people start off with essential oils i have a blend of some fragrances and some essentials i want to get some deeper scents your environment really affects your creativity so for today in the background i have playing some old classical music true masters i want depth i want passion and i want power in these fragrances i want to create today um i have beautiful candles going with no scent um lovely music playing i am nice and calm i'm centered i've chosen my fragrances and i'm ready to begin so what we're going to do is we take a cotton swab or q-tip and we choose our first note now i want a lovely amber note so i've taken an amber resin and i'm dipping some of that in there so that's one of my main main notes okay and i'm going to add just a slight touch i believe of musk so on the other side i'm going to take a little bit of musk i like that so far so that's going to be my base notes those are they're heavy earthy warm scents so i'm going to write those down musk i'm gonna drop that in that jar i'm gonna pull out this now for my middle notes i think i want stargazer lily try to use the same amount of oil that you do on each one of your swabs you know i mean if you're gonna go heavy on a swab remind yourself on your notes that it was heavy that way you can adjust your recipe accordingly okay so i'm gonna drop that in there with them and i'm going to give it a swirl i'm going to cover it up for a second give it a chance to merge itself and then i'm not going to smell inside the cup but i'm going to smell above the cup because that's going to be the true fragrance oh that's nice oh okay i'm definitely writing down star lily star gazer lily okay now on that one let's see it's a nice good floral deep floral not powdery with that musk and the amber just really pulls that down beautifully i think it might need a little bit more amber now i don't want that to be the main scent i just want that to be a note hmm i think i'm going to add a touch of almond to it let's see so on the other side of the lily i'm going to drop that in give that a minute it's almost like a swirling soap and release that's nice i like that one oh man but it needs okay i'm going back and forth and i'm sniffing above my glass reminding my nose what it smells like and then i'm smelling above the jar to see how it would blend that's not bad actually um i need more floral oh i know what to grab i am getting into one of my other bottom drawers let's see okay some more bottles here i kind of blend already made of rose roses hmm that's possible try some heather no oh there we go chamomile a little bit of chamomile um oh yeah yeah yeah okay i'm adding in that's gonna be a top note for sure because it's a lighter one chamomile oh oh oh i think we have something here oh yes yes yes yes where's that other one there it is and oh that's fabulous lemon verbena it's nice oh god i think we found it folks oh touch of sweet like a little bit of sugar it needs a little bit of sugar ah i know bear with me i'll be right back guys hang on hang on this is it oh there it is all right passion flower and acacia berry hmm give that a second oh that's beautiful if you like florals this is a beautiful scent oh i'm loving this one okay i want it to go a touch deeper though so i'm going to add a double dose of the amber there we go double dose of amber so i'm writing next to my amber times two and then on my top notes i'm adding in passion flower and acacia berry all right and that's all of them so it's got eight different scents and fragrances blended in it so that is going to be today's floral note all right thanks for watching hope you get some ideas of your own i almost forgot to tell you um now these are going to change over like the next 48 hours as they grow and blend so what i do is i take my cotton swabs that i've put the fragrances on and i put them in a bag or a jar or anything like that and i seal them up now i can go back and check on these in an hour in a day and in a couple of days and see how the fragrances have blended and more together now don't ever just stick your face in the bag because you're getting a full concentrate of the smell and it's not accurate once again just like the jar you want to go above and get that blend oh wow i'm really liking this one it's so beautiful and complex it's definitely a mature fragrance this is for a sensual sexy woman yeah definitely simply beautiful all right here we go and make sure you put it somewhere dark don't let the light get to it pop it in a drawer put it in a cubby put in a bag something don't let it sit in the light okay let me know how some of you guys have went i want to see experimentation across the board
