hello fellow glower and welcome to my channel the late grower now a few days ago I got lucky when my friend dropped by to give me several dragon fruit cuttings ok I now have several including this one which I just cut ready for drying now in growing dragon fruits from cuttings it is best to start with mature things such as this ones oops it dropped such as this ones now this tree here are still quite young but it is also possible to root them and you just dry them for about one or two weeks and then you can also route them now there are several ways to route dragon fruit cuttings and one of which is to directly plant it in the soil but by planting it nest in the soil with the tip like this it may take a really long time before it can root or it may not do it at all because dragon fruit cuttings they grow top roots from the bottom and if you're not going to cut this it may not root at all okay so it is advisable to cut your cuttings you cut the bottom just like in this case I just cut it and I will let it dry for two weeks or possibly even one week ok so aside from just planting it directly into the soil one other method is to put this in a bucket of water submerge this by about three to four inches and wait until it grows some roots that's also another method but in my case I follow what the commercial growers are doing and that is by cutting the bottom letting it dry for one or two weeks and then add some growth hormone before I plant it in my soil ok now the ideal melt for a cutting is this size about one foot in them okay so in this case I have here a long dragon fruit cutting it's about two feet so I can cut this in half so in this case I will have two cuttings okay so this one in particular has been dried already the bottom is already dry so this is ready for planting we just add some or put some growth hormone in it on it and you can already planted okay so that's how you plant and also that's how you select dragon fruit cuttings that you want to root okay as much as possible get only mature cuttings but you can also try to route the young dragon fruit cuttings like this okay hopefully you've got some idea thank you for all so much for watching and hope to see you in my next video bye
