today we're gonna change a headlight switch on the 2002 l200 it's good for a 2002 and in 2003 the same same part same same maker so first you start by going underneath the steering column here there's two screws gonna take you under there's two t15 Torx bit screws so you'll need a bit that looks like this it's a Torx bit and there's actually three screws but you only gonna take out the two that are closest to the steering wheel this one and this one I've already taken them up just to make the video faster so after you take out the teaspoon the cover right here the top half that is gonna split if you just put your finger here and pull sometimes a little bit though the tuft of barn don't be shy and pull pretty hard aha once you remove the top cover you're gonna be able to see your switch here's your switch there's like a little flap kind of covering everything so gently feel it back and you look towards the back of the switch you have a plug connector right here okay at the bottom of the connector there's a locking tab right here if you pinch on this locking tab and pull and wiggle and pull that plug will come out pretty easy just like that and now the same kind of thing it holds the switch in there's a locking tab right here where my finger is and there's another one on the bottom which is a little bit tough to see right now cuz of this flop but it's right in here so if I reach my finger on your here and I squeeze no good way to show you but squeeze these two tabs and pull the flashes was just so I felt like that so the two times that I was talking about it right here just squeeze in here and pull out and pull it out of the steering column to install that you just reverse the didn't take no
