okay testing one two one two good morning all of my homeschool mommies and daddies this is just a quick little tutorial video I'm trying to put together to show you guys how you can make jeopardy games with this site called jeopardy labs com it's like an online template program website where you can actually create different jeopardy games so what I'm gonna do is I'm going to make a little fake one real quick just to show you how to do it once you get to the site you want to go to the start building link either one of those is fine um and when you get there of course my computer's a little bit slow right now once you get there you're going to set a password up so i'm going to set a password 123 so you use this password whenever you are trying to edit your template meaning if you don't finish the whole thing at this moment you use this password and you can law back in at any time so I'm gonna start building if I put my 123 password now you enter your title here at the top whatever you want to call it what I'm going to call this one today is just stamping nothing major and then you enter your categories again just something simple so I put one two now for the most part once you get it ready it's usually better if you have your questions or your pictures and everything ready before hands all you have to do she's kind of input them but I tend to do them on the fly so I'm always working on the lab and looking up my question that same time so I wouldn't advise that but it can be done okay so what do you want to do is you want to start out wherever you're going to go with your own for the your questions like for here I'm go to just this number one and you're going to put your in the top box the one that's lit up here you're going to put your questions but remember you put it in the form of the next so you can either put your question or your answer for your lamp I put apple now I'm going to go here and I'm going to look up an apple and clip art right particularly I would like a free one but if you free picture it's a good idea if you're going to use app it is not free or that's copyright it that you kind of put the picture whenever you make it on paint put that the link or wherever you got it from so that you know you don't end up with anything the problems later down the road the easiest way to do a link if you're going to link it this is called culinary school or so what I would do it at the bottom it's just type in you know the name of the site real small so at least I'm giving credit to where I got the link culinary that way if anything comes back they're like no you stole my picture no I did so there you go so you want to size that up however you want to do it I try to make it you know as small as possible there we go so now just say that you want to say that you know in a good area when I remember it I usually will make a new folder depending on whatever jeopardy I'm working on so that if I don't want the pictures later on I can just delete them off of my hard drive so that's my first picture I'm only going to do one picture because I just want to give you a rough idea of how you want to do these pictures so the next step is going to be you're going to go to your photobucket account and you're going to add this picture to your photobucket account because the way they have this jeopardy labs things set up you can't just you know link a picture you actually have to have a HTML code for it and you can get those codes from photobucket and I think flickr does it too if you have a flickr account i'm not familiar with any other online photo-sharing programs that make these links so just keep that in mind awesome so we're going to do go to my samples if I can ever get to it again my computer is slow because i'm recording right now so everything is moving really slow I like to save all my pictures is jpg I don't know why should something i do i'm not sure if you use it as a PNG or a gif file if they work so that's just I just always save my pictures as JPEGs this is ridiculous anyway we're just gonna skip this whole little section right here but just you know keep trying a good place to save all your pictures that's the main idea that I want to get across I'm just going to go here because we know what the picture is and I'm gonna take this Apple open it up and upload it to photobucket so then once i upload it I have to now is linked to my temp okay so the cold the link that you want to use is the third one down the one that says HTML code that's the one you want to copy and paste into your template to show your picture if you copy any of the other ones I'm not sure if they'll work or not I remember I had a problem but I can't remember which one it was so I know for a fact if you use this HTML code one which is the third one down copy and paste that into your template and it works fine you can type in here like if you type a word like I'll leave Apple in here just so you can see it and then also space and then I'll copy and paste well just paste my picture cold into that box and then in the question which is actually my answer on the loose type in happen and then save it now once this saved and once you get all your pictures and all your questions list it like here I'll just put you know just a random question I'm trying to do too much because this thing is taking forever I'll just put a question like it's yellow and sound and then my answer would be lemming and what will happen is whenever your game comes up it'll just propose that there be no picture anything so I just want to do a different one show you that okay once you're done there you're going to save it what she done and you can save this at any point like if you only get one question then you can save it and then once you need to you just come back to it and finish it later now what I always do so I do not lose these because if you lose them they're gone I always take this whole thing and I'll copy this this whole thing I do just like this and I copy and paste it and I put it in an email and I email it to myself that way i have my link to get to it to the game to play it and i also have the link to get to it to edit it so that i can find it because a lot of times if you go on here and try to find your own games it's real hard to do so i always take these in a copy and paste this entire little section and I email it to myself so I can get to my games quicker that's just something I do again you can do it you can you know figure out another way that works for you but that's what works for me that's how I bookmark my games and my edit template now i'm going to click the edit template and open in a new tab so you can see what happens when you get ready to try to go and re-edit it this is what will come up it will ask you is this your template you say yes and then you Anna type your password in ours was one two three so I hit one two three go now I'll go right back to my game and I can edit it again okay now if I want to share my game for others to play all I do is copy this link here and i'm going to copy and paste that into facebook twitter google+ emails whatever and that will be the link that actually gets to your game for others to play so we're going to go here do that and it's going to go to the plane gang and once you get here you know people can figure out of what they want to do as far as how many t's laughing why you don't have to do anything else once you put in your questions your answers your pictures you're done you don't have to do all that extra stuff as far as the points it's automatically done that's what the template is for so we go here and as you can see we only have two questions so I made sure that you know we have two questions so and this is what happens you see how when i remember when i typed in the word Apple is stayed here and there's my picture from my cold okay there we go there's my picture from my cold this is what it'll look like and you're done that's pretty much the you know a run down real quick on how you make a jeopardy game using the Geoffrey labs com simplest I love this site i've been using it now for life
