hi I'm Wendy with doll wedding company and we're here at the innovation companies today to show you how to tie the perfect bow for your wedding invitation here is an example of how a bow should look if you notice the bottom two parts of the bow are facing downward while the bow portion is upward now that's not an easy thing to do because we were all taught to tie bows using our shoelaces well this kind of bow is a bit trickier because you need to make sure that there isn't a lot of twisting going on and that the bow looks just like this so I'm going to show you how to do it so that you can tie a hundred bows in no time flat and have it look amazing okay let's get down to business I centered my ribbon across my invitation I'm gonna take the right side put it down first the left side right on top of it and pull the ribbon ends so that one is going straight up the other is going straight down kind of like making a plus sign or a north and south on a compass and now I'm going to refer to this part of the ribbon as the north part of the ribbon and this part of the ribbon of the south just so that you know how to make your bow correctly I'm going to take the south part and I'm going to make a loop pinch it and take the north part wrap it around the front of the south part and make a little loop you can see the little loop right here you're gonna want to put your ribbon right through that after you've gone around the back of the other part of the ribbon and you pull it right through that hole and pulling both sides of the ribbon at the same time I got a little loose because I didn't hold my knot there you go
