the velum included in your kit is translucent if it was opaque or if you would like to emboss cardstock you would need a light box similar to this one and when it lights up you'd be able to see through the cardstock I'm going to go ahead and turn that off since I don't need that if you don't have a light box you can also use a sunny window begin by taping your charm onto your light box sunny window or just your tabletop since we do have translucent vellum and we can see our charm underneath then tape your vellum on top to make your embossing easier if you'll want to rub over the vellum with a dryer sheet or a piece of wax paper and that will make your tool move much smoother gently trace around the edges of the charm with the largest tip on your interchangeable embossing tool and I just kind of stop when I come to that place where the little hanger is and I embossed that later so that I don't have that as part of my embossed shape also trace around the inner areas then you can use your smaller tool to trace around again and that will make your lines wider closer and be sure not to push down too hard you might have noticed a minute ago that I did push down too hard and I tore my vellum a little bit I'm going to go ahead and remove the vellum and turn it and put it back over the charm so that then I can emboss that little section that I didn't emboss where that hanger was if you'd like to fill in those inner areas place your piece of vellum on piece of craft foam or a mousepad and then just go back and forth in different directions you can again go over it with your smaller one be very careful not to push too hard so you don't push all the way through and you can see how it's getting whiter as I go over it a second time
