Please explain how to 550 paracord survival bracelet king cobra weave adjustabe steel shackle

hey this is chris with survivor ties and we're going to do a crash course 10 minute video on king cobra weave paracord bracelet with adjustable stainless steel shackles a lot of guys do this a lot differently but i'm going to show you my way of doing it and we're going to talk as we work because i have to do this really fast so the first thing we're going to do is we're going to bond our cords i'm not recommending how you should bind your cord i'm just showing you how i bond my cord a lot of guys will use candles i prefer a zippo lighter because it's more controllable and you don't have to worry about spilling wax because the last thing you want is wax on your cord so here we go joining them together give them a little push wait a second for it to cool you're going to burn the crap out of yourself but you want to try to get it as even as a cord as you can whoops nice zippo throw there and now a lot of guys use wooden jigs and stuff but what you're going to see that i have here is i just run two pieces of the shackle on either end of the string and i stick them here on clips to a computer chair and this way i can work any way i want i can make it adjustable and it doesn't take up a huge space on my table so we're going to start by taking our bottom piece which is our our adjustable end we're going to run our cord through okay now i have to do this quick so you can always rewind and stop now when you get to your point here you want to make sure that you don't try to get it exactly even you want it offset you want to hide this burn somewhere in the middle you know you want to make sure that your bond was tight on that and we got a good bond so we're through our bottom we're going to come to our metal shackle here we're going to go up through the top like this and pull all of our cord through okay so i'm going to keep my computer up a little bit so i have a little bit of room to play with here um so obviously i need to bring that back through so now you see our burn spots here this bracelet is for someone with a seven and a half wrist interest and because it's thicker um we want to kind of make sure that we do about an inch extra on something about that so we're going to want an eight and a half inch bracelet now what you want to make sure is your buckles are curved here so you want to make sure first thing that your buckle's on the top now the pink is this girl's outside color so we're going to want to start with um with the camo as our inside color because we're gonna do a double pass so um uh very carefully following first knot over with the camo cross over with the pink under and up to the loop and we're going to stop there we're going to measure now because once again we're looking for eight and a half inches to the about the center buckle that's a little bit off now i'm using about 20 feet of paracord 10 feet of each color on this meld so about eight and a half to my center i'm about right there i'm going to give a little pull there now check one more time you always want to double check because it does shift but that looks good so i'm going to pull and there's our second knot now your your center line is you're gonna be your camo so it's gonna be your crossover line every time on your first pass you wanna you know because i use the string you wanna make sure you're keeping tight and your knots are tight okay so over under up through the loop okay and you're gonna see me go and through and do this very quickly as well look i'm picking up scrap off the floor that's no good okay so like i said about 20 feet of paracord is where we're pulling in this one now when you're going keep your center straight a lot of people think str tight is pushing up you don't ever want to push up you just want to give them nice tight pulse and let it rest where it wants to it'll settle into place exactly where it needs to be you just want to make sure that your knots are tight and the number one thing that a lot of noobs or new guys make mistakes is they they uh will not be consistent they'll start loose and go tight and that'll make your bracelets you want to just make sure that you get in a rhythm and you're doing the same exact tight pull in the same direction every time you're going down through your bracelet here so going down each time keeping your camo remembering you know crossing over with your camo over with your this is your main color is your crossover your odd color which is your pink on the outside is going to be your under color and if you see that's the main color on the opposite side but this is our top because that's our curved buckle side so that's what we're going with now i'm putting a time limit on one of these kind of makes you make more mistakes but i'm really trying to get this done in 10 minutes because i don't really feel like editing in it because if anybody knows me i'm not that computer literate now if you guys have seen me do these at the tables i do do them pretty fast but not quite this fast now i made this video just because i wanted to have my own video and because i see a lot there but not a lot of people use the stainless steel metal shackles and those are the good ones those are the ones that you really want i mean some people are more comfortable with plastic but it if you want to call it a survival bracelet you should be able to use everything inside of it and a plastic buckle wasn't going to do you much good if you're lost in the woods so all right so we're getting near our bottom here now now that we're down to our bottom we're going to take it all the way tight up and do one more your bottom one you want to get it super tight because it's going to try to stay a little fatter now all i do is i switch my clips around like that we're back to where our camo is but now our string is at the top now if you you remember we wanted pink camo's or outside color so now to get the reverse effect which looks the best with these now we're just going to cross over with our pink camo so over just same knot pretending this is the center cord and up through the loop now your first knot just you want to make sure that you're interlocking just like a jigsaw or gears or whatever you want and see how each of those are interlocking you know as long as you are still consistent with your tightness giving that nice tug at the end of each one and you know if you're not a guy with a lot of calluses you're going to get a lot of rope burn doing this but make you want to make sure each one's interlocking so you can see they're all perfectly interlocking inside of each other so now i'm going to try to pick up the pace here because there's no way of me telling what the time is you know once again over under up through the loop now the tighter the knot you do tighter your bracelet's going to be better quality it's going to feel it's not going to be all mushy it's going to keep its size now once again i'm rushing this a little quicker than i usually like to do them a lot of guys like working with big wooden jigs i use these little jigs because they're mobile i can just about take them anywhere and it saves me a lot of space and pinch which usually if i'm at shows you never see me with a lot of room that's for sure so this works great now anything like slings or belts i have wooden jigs that i do those on but the bracelets this is i've done over a thousand on this little contraption with the clips you know get the clips from home depot for a dollar use some scrap paracord extra buckle that's it right now you see me getting near the bottom i like taking mine all the way to the end overlapping the very last knot tight pull okay now we're going to pull these off of our clips as fast as possible here now we're going to unscrew this from our jig unscrew this from our jig here okay set our pins down now when it comes to melting the ends a lot of people try to do this all pretty of course now i can't find my scissors can i okay a lot of people try to do this all pretty anybody that's got them from me a lot of melts on the end yeah well the bigger the plug you don't want these things coming undone i want mine to stay done so here's what you do once again like i said to me you don't you want to try never to catch this on fire you always want to get your melts melted fire is not good it's going to burn other parts of the cord you want to get it as soft as possible soft as possible soft as possible and then smoosh it to the biggest plug if you get a little excess and scratchy you can always come back later with scissors and trim it up come over here give that a nice tight pull again take your scissors give you you know give yourself enough for a little bit of gloopy melt there on the end okay so there we go now pink on the outside there's our curve in our buckle run your pin back through
